"Hot. HOT. HOT!" I can't take this anymore!" Akane lay in bed staring at the ceiling fan. It was spinning so fast yet no cold air was hitting Akane. His thin blanket had been tossed onto the floor half an hour ago, and his pillow had been flipped a multitude of times. He turned to look at his phone which read 21:03. The sun still shone bright even at such a late hour. Since it was still light and not necessarily that late, Akane made the decision to take a little walk; a trip to the convenience store.
"Mum! Dad!" he called, grabbing his keys and shoving them in his jeans pocket. "Im going on a short walk to cool down!" and he left the house.
He started his walk down his road, passing Aoi's house, wondering if she wanted to join him. Shes probably asleep he thought, and continued to walk to the end of his road, taking 3 rights before making it there. He walked in as the bell above him rung. He knew his way around well, and made his way towards the cold drinks. It would kill him to have a coke at this hour right?
Thats when he heard a familiar voice from behind him.
"Oh, Aoi! Its so good to see you here!" It was Teru Minamoto, Akane's colleague; School President Minamoto.
"President?" Akane said.
"Aoi!" Teru grinned.
"Please tell me I'm dreaming and I'll wake up in a sec-"
"Dreaming of me?" Teru looked innocently at Akane, gesturing toward himself.
Akane rolled his eyes at Teru in return."Never mind."
"So what are you doing here, Aoi?" Teru asked, changing the subject.
"Getting a coke, and can't I ask you the same?"
"Your teeth are going to ROT, Aoi! Anyways, I'm just getting some water." he answered, holding up his bottle of water up.
"You sound like my mum. Don't you have e-" he was going to say 'exorcist duties' but Teru cut him off.
"Yes, but they start at sun down," he lowered his voice, "Supernaturals usually only come out when the sun is down, shouldn't you know that?"
"Tch. I'm only half-supernatural, by the way. Shouldn't you know that?"
Completely ignoring Akane, Teru continued, "Anyways, sundown is in," he checked his watch, "An hour or so."
"Oh okay, well, I best get going then." Akane replied, he wasn't enjoying his talk with Teru; dream or not.
"Your not going home right?" Teru asked.
"I assure you I am-"
"Come on a walk with me, pleaseeee Aoi?"
"No."
"Pleaseeee?"
"I'm going to pay now, stop begging." he began to walk off when Teru grabbed his shirt.
"Come on, Aoi...!"
"No way, let go, what are you, five? This is exactly what Mirai does when I leave." Teru let go. "Look pres, why do you want me of all people to go on a walk with you? Go knock for Ao-chan or som- wait, no. don't knock for Ao-chan!" Akane backtracked, but Teru was already walking out the shop; the bell above the door ringing once again to signal him leaving. Teru knew how to piss Akane off enough to force him to do stuff; plus Akane basically asked him to do this.
Akane payed quickly and ran out to Teru. He had to stop him from knocking for Aoi, which only meant he had to-
"Fine! I'll go on a walk with you." Akane shouted to him, even though they were only 10 or so yards away from each other.
Teru turned around with a soft smile on his face. Akane knew this wasnt going to be very fun but-though he hated to admit it -he enjoyed seeing Teru smile. You almost forget hes kills supernaturals for a living. That was how Teru smiled. The smile became a grin from ear to ear, you could say it lit up the room but they were standing in the middle of the road.
"Thank you Aoi!" Akane liked Teru's smile in a way he could be selfish enough to say he wants to be the only one who could enjoy such a smile. It made Akane warmer inside, more than a fireplace on a cold winter night; and oh he wished it was, though the late-night sunshine shining on Teru's perfect face was much better. Teru made Akane's inner-monologue sound ever-so gay.
THIS IS NOT DONE, BUT ITS SCHEDULED FOR DELETION TOMORROW. I SWEAR I WILL FINISH IT AS SOON AS BUT I CAN'T RN!!
