Work Text:

I felt hurt as I saw Chanel lying on the ground, I didn't know what to do as you bled out. I was scared, horrified even. It was strange because I usually didn't feel so afraid whenever I saw a dead body right in front of me, I dropped the gun that was in my hands and rushed over to your side. I looked around for the doctors but... They didn't come to us. I was then sure about one thing I would take on the Mafia's. Revenge.

"They will die. I'll. Make. Sure."

No words could express the hatred that surged through my body, I started sobbing as I held your lifeless body. I wished that you would come back, come back for me.

The Mafia's were left for dead in that damned library, I held the gun the "game" hosts had given me. It felt like a sense of safety and a treasure to me, it was one of my prized objects. But the only thing I wanted back was you. I waited near the entrance of the Sorority building, or... Whatever. The name was important, only you were important and that was it.

I looked in the building, waiting for you to come out and head to the malls that you said we would go to. But you never did, you never came out of that casino. So why would you come out of the Sorority building? It felt as if I was waiting for a person, a someone that never existed and was just living in my headspace. I missed you, I kept waiting and waiting. The other sorority girls went out... But, you didn't. and it was the only thing that kept me waiting.

The bile that was in my stomach had then risen up to my throat, it burned. It burned just like the passion you had when you were still alive, I held the roses that I had just gotten for you to only remember. You were dead, and you would stay dead either way.

I couldn't stop my tears when I stood at the little grave I dug for you, it poured out of my eyes just like all the emotions I bottled up. I felt vulnerable, but I didn't want to be vulnerable... It's at least better than crying in front of a group of strangers that I barely even knew. And besides I was alone, so... I guess I could just let it out.

Once again, I was at the sorority building you always went to. I actually met with one of your friends, Sadie... Was it? She told me she hasn't seen you in a long, long time. I told her everything out of grief, I know you wouldn't like me telling someone you were dead but... She wouldn't know if I didn't tell her.

I swore an oath that I would protect you, but yet I failed. I'm sorry Chanel. My fair lady...
