Darling boy(How your fear reminds me of myself)

Summary:

Given away at birth, Ira Doe was 14 years old, passed around from 10 houses already.

Nobody wanted a teenage anymore, and even back then they didn’t want a baby, now he was stationed in juvie. He didn’t think he deserved it, he just graffitied the side of a building, it was a cartoon dick but he guessed doing it on the side of his foster dad’s work building was a bad choice. Whatever.

He’s been here at juvie for 3 years already, he hates it here. He hates authority, he hates men but playing Exy is alright he supposes.

So now here he sat, learning he had a two older brothers that are twins and a cousin who’s their guardian.

Ira sighed he didn’t know if he should be mad that they got to stay together, or wishful, or happy. Fuck, he didn’t know.

OR!

A sad teenage boy finds peace and happiness with his older brothers, and their found family.

Notes:

WARNINGS: scene with sexual contact between a minor and an adult, I think it would classify as sexual assault, and abuse of authority, also texts about underage smoking, and the fact I’m not a good writer in general 😬

I wouldn’t call it graphic but it might be.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Burned by touch.

Chapter Text

Monday 16th, October 2007.

Ira Doe didn't know what to make of it, the day was normal. Bright but not sunny to the point of clear skies. He woke up, sweaty and sore, clenched his thighs shut and waited until the guards down the hall finally left to change and walk out his cell and head to breakfast, he was last as always, in the long line and when he finally managed to get a tray, they left him with the worse one. This one they gave him had: mystery meat, random mixed veggies with brown attached to it, a juice box and a cookie.

There was hair in his food like always, maybe some spit mixed into the juice. The juice looked thick when he poured it across the meat, tangy juice sauce for the mystery main course. Ira giggled at the thought. A sweet, airy sound. It wasn’t heard very often.

He lived for the cookie, the sweetness of the chips and the burnt parts that needed extra time to chew.

After that, usually they were allowed outside but it had started to pour today, the drizzle started soft before pounding against the windows, and the weathered walls of the place. The grass outside had gotten muddy, hard boots pulling up grass as the officers patrolled. The ceiling leaked into the floor making the grey concrete slippery; wet.

”They’re never gonna patch that” Ira thought, it leaks every time it rains, has for the last 3 years.

The next best thing to do, second only to getting a cigarette and chilling on the side of the juvie near the fence, people watching would be Exy, the rush that sport makes Ira feel, the control.

The violent nature Exy has always makes him feel calmer, especially when it happens to get him the win. The stretches they have them go through are simple, it doesn’t really pull anything, and they don’t hurt unless you’re already sore.

Ira always was, the limp of his legs, and the ache in his lower stomach, the muscles of his thighs screaming and feeling a cramp already form in the balls of his feet but it wasn’t anything he wasn’t used to, he was fine. He had to be fine.

It wasn’t anything special to playing Exy with the boys around the juvie, but this time he was called into the officer Vince office, Ira wondered as he walked, being led by two guards on each side. He wondered why. Why had he been called?

He hasn’t done anything to result in punishment.

Ira had woken at 8:30 a.m. It was only 12:23 p.m now so only about 3 hours and some minutes that Ira was up and moving. Ira knows for a fact he hasn’t done anything bad. The officers forced him to sit in a chair facing Vince, who was sitting behind his desk, with that smile. Ira hated that sly fucking smile.

“My little lion, I’ll miss you dearly..” Vince started, he stood up and walked the slow pace towards Ira, running a hand from his neck to gripping his hair. A sharp tug got Ira’s full attention onto him.

“Sir.. what do you mean?” It was Ira that spoke, his voice shaking even as he tried to clam down the rising fear. He wasn’t scared. He was not scared.

“Well,” Vince let go, his eyes burning holes into Ira’s skin “we found your little family, my little lion. They were all so happy to take you away, my perfect boy..” Vince voice turned to a faux sadness. “You could imagine how sad I was.”

Ira frowned “A- my family?”

“Yes, you have older brothers, twins. A cousin. Your mother is deceased and your father is still unknown” Ira nodded as the information was thrown at him. Vince sighed and picked up folders “here,” he held it to Ira’s face “information about your family. They’ll be here tomorrow.”

Ira nodded again and held out his hands to take it when Vince snatched it away “your words, my tiny sweetheart? You just know I love your voice. Those precious indecent, little whines .”

Ira hated nicknames, especially stupid nicknames like “my little lion”.

Ira shook and forced a smile “please? thank you, sir..” Vince grinned, that same grin he used at night, and handed the folder to him, their hands touching for only a moment “I’ll miss you.”

“I’ll… ill miss you too..” Ira spoke, no he wouldn’t. Why did he say that? No he wouldn’t, he would never miss Vince, never miss the way he made him feel, the way his hands would graze, He would never.

“There’s my good boy, how about a hug for the road” Vince held out his arms and Ira stepped in automatically. No. No. No. no. Why did he do that? Why can’t he ever say no? Will no even work? He doesn’t want to get hurt.

Vince hands down wondered, they went low, under his uniform pants groping, prodding and Ira stood still, he let it happen. Sometimes his nails wondered up, scratching up and down Ira’s spine. Vince kissed him slow, his tongue forcing its way in, Ira could taste the breakfast he had, eggs, sausage, bacon. He made a little sound of sadness that Vince took as pleasure, A sign to keep doing, to continue.

The minutes felt like hours as Vince positioned his arms to lift Ira up onto his desk, standing between his frozen legs— knock. Knock.

Luckily they were interrupted, Vince smiled and licked his lips as he pulled back “bye Ira. I’ll miss you” Vince bit him on the neck as a goodbye, it was wet, and hot. The saliva burned as it dripped from Vince’s mouth to the bite, fresh on Ira’s neck. A slap on the ass, and gentle rubbing to ease the burn sent Ira on his way. When has he ever been gentle? Ira couldn’t remember.

Ira walked out as a guard walked in, they passed each other without a second thought. Ira walked fast as his feet could take it, he was 4’10 after all. to his cell with the folders in his hands. “Wow..” he sat on his bed.

He had a cell to himself so it was easier for Vince to come and go, usually he hated it but now it felt amazing. He had a little privacy to open these folders about his new family, not new. His biological family. He sighed and teared the top open, pulling out 3 sheets of paper with a bunch of information.

He held the first one “Nicky Hemmick,” he mumbled to himself. “Sounds like an energized weirdo.” His eyes finally scanned the rest of the information.

Andrew Minyard - cousin - Alive

Aaron Minyard - cousin - Alive

And a bunch of other stuff that Ira didn’t think was very important.

Ira was mesmerized “are Andrew and Aaron my brothers?” He set Nicky’s record down and pick up the others two, he was right. The names were Aaron Minyard and Andrew Minyard. He didn’t read them yet, he wanted to save them a prize for waking up the next morning.

“I’m a Minyard..,” his voice was soft. “Not a doe. Minyard.” Ira was starstruck. He was a minyard and they wanted to keep him. He was excited for tomorrow for some reason, should he be? His happiness suddenly came and went. Were they nice?

Shouldn’t he be pissed his mother gave him away but kept them? Did she even keep them? Tomorrow suddenly felt like it was coming too fast, and he wasn’t sure he was ready.

The rest of the day felt like it was going way faster than normal. Exy, dinner, tv time, books—more Exy, Vince, bed. though usually bed would be before Vince, but he didn’t mind the change. It meant he got more to sleep.

It’s 9:30 now, lights off were a few minutes ago so Ira was staring at the bottom of the top bunk from his bed. He couldn’t sleep he’s excited and petrified at the same time, but he’s hopeful.

The sound of the pouring rain turning to a soft drizzle, the sound of it hitting his window and dripping off and the leaves whistling in the mind, the weak ones fluttering off in the distance lured him to sleep. His eyes drooping heavy as his lashes perfectly casted a shadow on his face.

“I hope they like me.”
