Rex stares at the scene before him in confusion. A bunch of the troopers all had their laptops out and they were huddled in a circle together. “What are you all doing?”
Fives’ head sticks up from the group and grins, “Hey Cap, we’re posting. It’s a tradition, you know? We gotta give everyone proof we’re alive.”
Rex raises an eyebrow, “Really?”
Fives nods earnestly. “Yes sir. You see?” Everyone shifts around as Rex joins the group, looking to where Fives was pointing on his screen, which was buzzing with notifications.

“Cap, you should get an account and join us.” Jesse smirks. “Ask the commander to set one up for you; she did it for us.”
Rex glares. “I’m not getting caught up in your shenanigans.”
“C’mon, Rex,” Hardcase whines, “Even Cody created an account.”
Rex sighs. “You guys aren’t letting this go until I make an account, are you?” All the clones around him grin and nod.
“The commander is in her quarters.” Fives adds helpfully.
Rex mutters something not very nice as he gets up and leaves the barracks. He would not be a part of social media, posting about his life every single day for everyone to see. Instead of going to the commander’s quarters, he heads to the mess to get a cup of caf and hopefully rid himself of the headache he can feel brewing.
“You know he’s probably not going to go ask the commander to make him an account right?” Echo points out once Rex leaves.
“Yep. Which is why,” Fives gives an evil smirk, “I’m comming the commander and asking her to create an account for Rex and we can take pictures and create posts for him so he doesn’t have to do it all himself, of course.” Everyone huddles around Fives as he takes out his commlink and calls Ahsoka.
“Hey Fives, what’s up?” She greeted.
“Commander,” Fives says, “we need you to create a holonet account for Rex.”
Ahsoka frowns. “He doesn’t have one?”
“I know, right!” Jesse butts in. “Even General Kenobi has one.”
“Alright,” Ahsoka says, but her eyes narrow. “What are you going to do with this account though? I’m assuming this is all without his permission.”
Fives grins. Even though she’s young, their commander was a smart kid. “We’re going to post for him and everything. We’re just going to take pictures of him doing things and posting them.”
Jesse giggles. “I can already see it. We should make the username,” he spreads out his hands and waves his arms in the air for dramatic effects as he says “Rex Doing Things”.
Ahsoka grins. “I’m in. I’ll make the account tonight and we can start taking pictures tomorrow.”
“Yes!” Hardcase pumps his fists into the air once the comm cuts out. He highfives all the clones around them who’d been listening to the entire conversation. “Remember, no one gets hold of what we’re doing okay? Everyone here and the commander are keeping a secret and Rex can’t find out.”
“So,” Fives continues, clapping his hands together, “We’re going to each take pictures during the day with some holocameras I can get the commander to lend us. Then, each day when Captain is in the mess, one of us comes in here and we post the pictures. The person posting will change each day. Is that understood?”
Everyone nodded. Fine, if the Captain won’t join them, they’ll join in for him.
