Chapter Text

On an ordinary, happy day for the people of Felixia, Franz was working inside Felix's grand palace in a huge office. He sighed upon reflecting on his goal, realizing the mountain of work that lay ahead to achieve it. A few moments later... Felix burst in, shouting as usual: "Franz!!!!You must hurry! King Kuron's messenger is coming, and you have to receive him yourself. Hurry!" A doctor entered the kitchen so forcefully that it shook and almost broke. At that moment, Franz collapsed under the weight of it all. He was fighting with all his strength to find happiness, but to no avail. He had no friends in Felixia except for Felix, who was always there through thick and thin. In truth, everyone was longing for something new in their monotonous lives—people close to the kings to facilitate communication with them. Kuron’s carriage set off toward the hotels and pulled up in front of the palace. A messenger stepped out carrying a letter to Felix as well as to the kings. Franz received him with absolute coldness and formality, and another conversation took place. Kuron said with a tone of clear displeasure: "I didn't expect the king to be absent." Franz replied: "What do you expect from this king?" Kuron muttered: "Undermining him? How miserable you are!" Franz felt broken inside, but he feigned indifference despite feeling completely shattered: "Please, come in... What am I supposed to do? I am lonely and miserable." Secretly, Kuron felt pity for him. "I thought you were happy here." Small words... Franz turned away, leaving Kuron standing in his place. Kuron followed him as usual, breaking the wall of silence with a touch of malice: "You overreact to everything, just like your king. Stop harboring sorrow and face reality. You need someone to get you out of this kingdom." Franz asked him arrogantly: "And do I have the audacity to make such a decision? I only leave by order of the king, or accompanied by him, of course." Kuron muttered with biting irony: "'The king's pet?'" Franz was taken aback by what Kuron said, but he ignored it: "Not to that extent. But being treated like a fool is simply unacceptable." Kuron felt there was much to read in his thoughts. Felix interrupted the conversation as he arrived bearing good news for Franz. As soon as he saw Kuron, he welcomed him warmly. Felix was overjoyed thinking that Franz might have found a friend: "I'm so happy you have a friend now!" Just as Kuron was about to leave, Franz caught up with him and said: "Let's stay in touch."
