Everything was perfect. Saparata was finally king, the true king. After many battles, they had won. Cindercrest had won the war. Everything was all and well…but, it didn't feel..good?
Saparata didn't know why he felt weird. Maybe he felt guilty because he had caused the deaths of so many players? No. It was a needed sacrifice. Plus, they deserved it. New players shouldn't even be on Unstable. That was just wrong.
What was wrong then? He shouldn't be feeling…sad? Everything was going so well! But still, he couldn't stop the stupid feeling.
…
Saparata didn't want to admit it. He knew why he was feeling this way, but still. It was silly. That's all the past. It doesn't matter anymore. Why do I still miss you so much?
"Flux! I'm glad you're back!" Saparata exclaimed, rushing over to the raven haired boy who had just come back. "Hi Saps," Flux said, voice calm. Saparata helped Fluixon carry all the stuff he had just brought back to the kitchen.
He had been gone a while, almost 3 hours! "Why did you take so long?" Saps asked, opening one of their various cupboards to put away some freshly bought jam. Flux sighed. "The shops were very busy today, lot's of new players in town."
Saparata frowned slightly. He didn't exactly hate the new players, but it was starting to become a nuisance. "Were there really that many? It usually only takes an hour to buy everything we need." There was no way there were that many people, right?
Fluixon sighed yet again. "Well I don't really know why but a lot of new players have been coming here lately. Especially since King Parrot opened up spawn."
Saparata's eyes narrowed sligthly. "Why are they all coming here?" He questionned, crossing his arms. "Look, I don't really know why they're specifically coming here, but if I had to guess I'd say it's because it's really peaceful here?"
Saps scoffed, Flux nugged him lightly. "Hey don't be like that, I'm sure they won't be here for too long. Lot's of people tend to come and go, right? Why would it be any different now?"
"I guess you're right.." Saparata muttered, eyes closing momentarily. "Okay, can we go lay down now? I'm pretty tired," Flux asked, rubbing his tired eyes.
Saps immediately perked up. "Of course we can! I've been wanting to just go back to sleep but I figured I should wait for you to come back…"
Flux rolled his eyes softly. "You're such an idiot. You don't have to wait for me, you know? I've told you that like a million times by now."
Saps blushed lightly. "Shut up. I was waiting for you, okay? Is it so wrong to wait for your boyfriend to come back home?" Flux chuckled lowly. "Okay, whatever. Let's just go to bed now."
"Okay!"
Saps had been out for a while now. Flux was right, there were a lot of new players in town. All he needed was some bread. Bread! And there just so happened to be a line of around 20 players in front of him.
Saparata sighed, checking his shopping list. "This is literally so stupid. I just need bread! How is this taking so long!?" Saps glanced up at the slow moving line. This was going to take forever.
Eventually, after another twenty minutes, Saps finally good his bread. Good greif. He was finally able to head back home!
The walk home was as peaceful as ever, he walked past a small pond that had little frogs in it! Saps loved frogs. They were definitly his favourite animal. He finally made it to the smallish town they lived.
Saps loved their town, there weren't that many people living in it as it was basically out in the middle of nowhere, but he still liked it. Way better than living in the bustling city with all the people at least.
Saps was about to start walking down the street but stopped dead in his tracks at what he saw.
There was…blood? Why was there blood? Saps started running down the street, careful not to drop any of the food. He made it to his house, glancing around the area and spoting…a dead body on his neighbours lawn.
Why is someone dead!? Who did this!? Saps rushed over to the body and crouched down. There was a stab wound in their chest. Someone must've killed them..why?
Realization suddenly hit him. Flux. Is Flux okay!? Saparata quickly stood up, running back over to his house and bursting through the door. He didn't immediatly see him which already sent of alarm bells in his head.
Saps bolted to their shared bedroom and froze in shock at what he saw. Flux was there but…he was bleeding. A lot. Saparata screamed, rushing to Fluixon's side. "Flux! What happend!? Who did this!?" Flux slowly started to open his eyes. "Saps?" Flux asked, voice gruff.
"Flux! What happend!?" Saps exclaimed, voice panicked. Flux coughed violenty, throwing up blood. "Bandits..," Flux muttered weakly. "Bandits raided our town and took everything we had! I tried to fight them but they stabbed me before I could attack.."
Saparatas's eyes widened. Bandits? In their small town? "Why here? Why us? Just why?!" Saparata exclaimed loudly, eyes tearing up.
Flux's arm reached up to hold Saparata's face, saps eyes immediatly widened, he forgot Flux was activily bleeding out for a moment. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry Flux!"
Saparata quickly started pressing down on the stab wound, Flux groaning in response.
"Saps..you need to get out of here…the bandits are probably gonna come back, they're just a couple houses over…," Fluixon mumbled, head lolling back. "No! I'm not gonna leave you, Flux! You're fucking dying for goodness sakes!"
Fluixon coughed again, blood dripping from his mouth. "Saps, it's too late! Just go! I don't want you to be killed trying to help me while I'm already dying!" Flux shouted.
"But Flux—" Saps was cut off. "Go! Now Saps!" Saparata stood up, wiping his eyes. "I love you Flux..," Saps muttered. Fluixon smiled weakly. "I love you too, now go."
...
God damnit. He missed him. He missed him so fucking much.
