Work Text:

When Jessie took over as sheriff after Woody's departure, Dolly was relieved. She and Woody got along just fine in general but in matters of leadership they often butted heads. And while she was sure the transition wouldn't be smooth, and that Jessie did share a lot of short-tempered habits with her toyline buddy, at least she and her were usually on better terms and could see eye-to-eye on certain issues.

She had a deep respect for Jessie and all the hard work she put in since helping the room stay together, she especially admired her courage in helping Bonnie connect with Blaze and saving them from a fruitless future in the garage storage. And so, she never questioned her authority or tried to interfere with Jessie's decisions. They had also become closer as ever, working on maintaining peace and quiet in that little room of Bonnie's. Co-operation became their strongest suit.

So Dolly wondered what in the world she had done to make Jessie punish her like this. She can't see any other reason why she was supposed to be the one to break to Buzz that Jessie would end up spending the weekend at Blaze's.

It all started like a regular playdate between Bonnie and Blaze, this week at Blaze's house, specifically the ranch. Blaze had proposed this new setting for a wider range for Agent Clydesdale's newest mission. Dolly had been brought along, as the newst recruit, Doll-E, a tech genius, as evident by her glasses, who was actually a double spy. The plot had not even reached its climax when a sudden move from Bonnie made her trip in the hay, lose her balance and her grip on Jessie, who fell into the mush that was Jimmy Dean's slop. Every toy had winced at that, feeling sorry for the sheriff.

"Bonnie! Are you okay?!" Blaze rushed to help Bonnie, both still unaware of Jessie's predicament. She reached out a helping hand and Bonnie grabbed it, giggling.

"I'm fine. The hay was super soft!" She said as she brushed off the ones that had stuck on her with the help of Blaze. Then, she turned to look for Jessie. "Oh no!" she gasped in Jessie's direction.

Blaze turned to look at what shocked Bonnie; there was Jessie, covered in pig slop. Blaze was horrified. "I'm so sorry Bonnie!" she cried, as she reached to grab Jessie out of the food, worried that Bonnie might be too grossed out to do so. "I should've cleaned up before we came her. But I promise we'll clean Jessie! I'll ask my mom right now." Blaze frantically explained, feeling terrible for getting Bonnie's favorite toy exceptionally dirty.

Blaze continued her trail of apologies while Bonnie tried to reassure her that it was okay, and that 'spy missions always took an unexpected turn'. In their rush to find Blaze's mother, the rest of the cast-Atlas, Snappy, Smarty, Dolly- had been left in the barn to fend for themselves.

Smarty was the first to break the silence. "Well, that was some real sheriff work she had to do, I'll give her that." he said sarcastically.

"Poor Jessie. I sneaked a look at her when Blaze took her out of the mess; she looked terrible. That definitely requires double washing." Snappy shared with everyone the severity of the situation.

"Spare us the details." Atlas shuddered at the memory of Jessie being dug out of her predicament.

Dolly internally scoffed at their overreaction. These new toys had no idea how common it was to play and get dirty. Such amateurs, of course they freak out over such a small issue.

"Guys, relax. Jessie will be okay, she just needs a thorough cleaning by hand and she'll be good as new. She used to be a little boy's toy and before that she used to live here, no doubt she's gotten in similar situations before." She tried reassuring them.

They all seemed pretty convinced by that. Getting stained would be such a shame and no doubt Jessie would get mad about it. There was also the possibility of Bonnie and Blaze fighting over it, Bonnie could blame Blaze or Blaze would feel too bad to play with Bonnie and Jessie again. It was best to hope and not escalate the situation further.

After a while, the girls returned to gather the rest of the toys. While picking them up one by one, they continued their conversation. "Are you sure it's okay to leave Jessie here for the weekend?" Bonnie asked worried. "Abso-tootin-utely, m'lady!" Blaze tried to ease her tension by putting on a cheerful voice. "You should leave Miss Sheriff to our deluxe Spa facilities and we'll take the absolute best care of her."

That little comment inspired a whole new storyline for the both of them, and so they walked back to the house as they tried to sort out the treatments their fictional spa facility would provide.

In the meanwhile, the AA gang seemed to be quietly celebrating Jessie's unexpected sleepover. Dolly, on the other hand, seemed quite displeased. Returning without Jessie would cause some tension in the room. She wasn't sure she wanted to deal with that after such an eventful playdate. When the girls left to eat dinner, Dolly shared her worries with everyone.

"I just… don't want to deal with it." Dolly complained. She rarely let the other toys know when she was annoyed, trying to maintain the facade of the stoic leader, but she figured out it's okay with these guys.

Smarty raised an eyebrow at that. "By 'it', do you perhaps mean someone plastic, white and green, with a laser and wings for show and an affinity for violence?"

Well, Dolly wouldn't want to drop any names but…

"Oh snap!" Snappy caught on Smarty's (not at all subtle) jab.

"Well, I'd hate to be the one to have to break the news to that guy." Atlas chimed in.

Way to point out the obvious. Dolly immediately regretted confinding in these guys.

"Hey, do you want us to send the message?" Smarty asked, in all seriousness, though his intentions unknown.

Dolly immediately dismissed the idea. "No thank you. It's better to do it in person. Besides, I have to make sure he stays put, after hearing the news."

The trio had to agree with that. Last time Jessie spent an unexpected sleepover at their place, Buzz and 50 clones of him appeared. Who knows what he could do now that said Jessie was his wife?

Bonnie had packed up and walked to her mother's car. Dolly and Lilypad reunited inside the rucksack and of course the first thing Lily noticed was Jessie's absence. She had been set aside for the most part of the playdate, Bonnie having forgotten to fully charge her.

"Where's Jessica?" She asked, wondering if Bonnie was still playing with her out of sight.

Dolly explained the whole thing to Lily, including dreading the announcement.

Lily had an idea. "What if we do this!" She proposed, as she lit up her screen with fireworks display in the center of which the words "Jessie is spending the weekend at Blaze's!" were written in a bright rainbow font.

Dolly allowed herself to laugh at Lily's suggestion before chastising her for her silliness. Lily pretended to understand Dolly's worries, though she couldnt help but be excited for the soap opera sequence that was about to unfold when they exited the bag without Jessie.

The ride home went more quick than usual and, after spending a day in the nature, it was immediately bath time for Bonnie, after carefully throwing her bag into her room.

Lily and Dolly threw the bag to the ground to get a better grip at the zipper. Maybe that could've been everybody's first clue that Jessie wasn't coming back tonight, as she usually would be able to reach the zipper just fine.

Then, they unzipped it and finally came out of the bag, seeing most of the toys surrounding them.

"Hey guys… We're back." Dolly said weakly, though without betraying the nervousness in her expressions.

"Welcome back Dolly, Lily" Buzz greeted them, front and center, trying to look over their shoulders for any sign of Jessie. Dolly and Lily stole a quick glance at one another, unsure of how to approach the situation.

Buzz walked past them and inched closer to the bag, wondering if Jessie was sneakily trying to prank him, as she would often do after a day of not seeing each other. Though, as soon as he got close enough, he realized the bag looked too empty for anyone else to be in it.

He rushed in front of Dolly and Lily again. His eyes could be mistaken for those of a sad puppy. They almost felt bad for him.

"Hey Buzz…" Dolly started. "So, here's the thing…Jessie had a little accident." She regretted her choice of words as soon as she saw Buzz's reaction, eyes almost popping out of his head. "Just! She just got dirty, but Blaze's mom had to wash her and they kept her over there to dry. So, she's not going to be back until Blaze comes over on Sunday." She continued, in one breath, just so he wouldn't misunderstand.

The info earned a relieved "oh" from the toy crowd, before each and every one of them turned to gauge Buzz's reaction.

He stood there frozen for a second, trying to process it all. It was unusually quiet in the room.

Clearly, Buzz was not going to break the silence, so Lily decided to take matters into her own hands. "Hey, we can text her later! I'm sure she will make her way to the others as soon as everyone falls asleep."

Still no reaction from Buzz.

The one to break the tension this time had been Bullseye, who dispersed the crowd and went right by Buzz's side, nuzzling his face on his chest, as if to comfort him. That seemed enough to snap Buzz out of it, moving his arm to pat the horse's mane, returning the gesture.

He had to focus. He was not the only one worried about Jessie. Surely the Sheriff missing distraught everyone. He had to remain calm, at least this time he knew where she was and why and for how long she was going to be gone. This time he could act like a proper deputy.

Thanks to Bullseye's intervention, Buzz came back to his senses and immediately assumed his position. "Alright folks, no need to panic. There was an unexpected turnabout in the Sheriff's mission but fortunately we know of her whereabouts and the estimated time of returning." he announced, mostly for himself to hear.

When everyone realized that Buzz had returned to normal and they would not be roped into a rescue mission nor see the space ranger lose his cool, their interest in the whole situation subsided. After affirming his words, they all dispersed back to their tasks until Bonnie returned to the room.

While he was proud of himself for keeping his composure and de-escalating the situation, Buzz was very dissatisfied with their predicament. He really didn't like being apart from Jessie, even just for a few days. Even though he knows where she is and he knows that Blaze and her toys will look after her just fine, it still felt so wrong whenever he had to spend a night without her. He wonders if that's what married life was about. After all, he had been apart from Jessie several times in the past; and even back then he would feel a tinge of sadness and a slight annoyance every time their kid would take one of them but not the other. But now? Even that slight inconvenience caused him pain.

Jessie had explained everything to him. She had opened up her heart to him and bared him all of her deepest and ugliest thoughts that were running through her mind the days she had spent at Blaze's place. How all the memories came back and all her fears were validated for a moment in time. She told him about her grand revelation and how his proposal couldn't have come at a better time; how he grounded her and made her feel truly loved.

Buzz knows that Jessie knows, now. He knows that she promised not to be that reckless ever again, and that she's realized just how important she is to everyone in the room, to Bonnie, to him. He knows that after learning about Emily's daughter, Jessie had warmed up to the idea that she is as important to their kid as their kid is to her. It had eased a burden off her and helped with her terrors. And he knows that if anything were to occur, if she had a change of mind or if she needed help in any way he would be the first one she'd turn to, no matter how afraid or ashamed she was.

And yet, not having her by his side still caused a stir in his heart.

He did not plan to stay in this pitiful state for much longer, opting to busy himself with work around the room. Thankfully, they heard Bonnie and her mom approach the room shortly after and everyone returned to their original places.

Bonnie entered the room and unpacked Dolly and Lily, placing the latter on her charger. She hummed a song as she attempted to tidy up her room a little, enough to make space on her bed so she could get to bed.

While she was unfolding her covers to get under, she caught Buzz in the corner of her eye, left lying on top of the tea table. She looked at him sadly as she went to pick him up. "Poor Buzz. You must be so lonely without Jessie today, not even knowing how wrong the mission went! Here, I will put you on guard on the nightstand." Bonnie said as she placed Buzz in a seated position next to Lily.

Buzz was glad that Dolly immediately caught him up to speed with the developments because if he got just Bonnie's abridged version of the story he probably would've already leaped out of the window.

After an afternoon of playing, Bonnie was beat and immediately fell asleep. Dolly, who was the one under Bonnie's arms tonight, followed swiftly.

Buzz contemplated if he should attempt to sleep; he wasn't able to play today and therefore he wasn't too tired but he also hoped that sleep would be able to alleviate some of his worries. But Bonnie had put him on guard duty and that he took very seriously. He also hoped to hear from Jessie, seeing how Lily had already charged almost half her percentage.

No rest for this space ranger tonight.

The tech trio and the Sheriff were back in Blaze's closet int he dead of night again.

"Ah, doesn't that bring you back memories?" Atlas reminiscened, sighing. The gang was back together where it all started. Smarty and Snappy replied with a contend sigh of their own. Jessie's mind was clearly elsewhere.

Of course, they wouldn't miss this perfect opportunity to tease their honorary Sheriff.

"Hey Sheriff, we know you miss your hubby and all…" Smarty started. "…but it's literally 2 days. You are going to live."

"Probably." Atlas added, throwing a look at Snappy who was holding back a giggle.

Jessie felt embarrassed about how easy she was to read. But she knew better than to fall for their ragebait so she silently took the hits, sitting in the corner as she let her mind wander about how Buzz was faring. She really wanted to see him. And she hated whenever they were separated without warning like this. She couldn't help but worry about him. After the last time they spent apart, Buzz had confided in her about how worried he was and how crazy the thought of losing her drove him. She really hoped that her unplanned absence wouldn't trigger any of those bad thoughts.

She must have been sporting quite the pout since the trio decided to cut her some slack and stopped trying to rile her up. Snappy looked at Smarty, nudging him to approach Jessie. He rolls his eyes, pretending not to be excited for what's to come. All three exchanged a knowing look and see their plan in motion.

Nobody knows how but Lily and Smarty had figurd out a way and were able to create each a separate OS where they would keep their convos and pictures without fear of being found out. Smarty connected with the laptop to switch the OS, alerting Lily to do the same in the process.

In Bonnie's room, Lily silently awoke at that notification, taking note of the wide awake space ranger on her side. The sight would be pitiful if it weren't so funny.

How is it going on your side?

Smarty texted first, discreetly from the Sheriff.

Lily sneaked another look at Buzz. She wasn't quite sure how to describe the dejected look on Buzz's face. He looked like a kicked puppy, or like he accidentally kicked a puppy, or like someone kicked his puppy.

She opted for…

Rough.

The device's back at Blaze's laughed at the blunt response.

Probably too loud, as that caught Jessie's attention.

"What are you up to over there?" She asked, getting closer.

They all slightly stiffened at being found out, but quickly recovered to alert Lily and to dispose of any evidence of the convo.

"You want to talk to Buzz right?" Snappy said, looking expectantly at her. "We were just about to connect with Lily!"

Jessie smiled at that. These guys could be so thoughtful sometimes. She put all the previous teasing aside, to appreciate the gesture. She would like to check on Buzz, even if just through text messages. Something inside her told her that he wasn't getting much shut-eye either right now. She'd try to fix it.

Meanwhile, Lily had started the operation on her side. "Psst, spaceman!" she tried to tap him with her foot.

Buzz responded immediately, guard mode on. "Is everything OK, Lily?"

"Yeah, yeah. Now come on, don't you want to talk to your wife?"

As expected, Buzz smirked at the question, still busking on the bliss of Jessie being synonymous with 'wife' for him now.

He excitedly took her up on the offer and moved on the front of her screen. Before he could think of how to greet Jessie -was a 'Hello Jessie' appropriate enough? Should he refer to her as Sheriff as they were still on duty, technically? Wasn't it too dry?- a message arrived from Blaze's side.

Jessie was similarly stuck in a dilemma as how to start the conversation, as she had never needed to text until recently. Smartypants kindly offered to take the lead. She missed the devious smiles of her friends as he quickly typed the message and sent it before Jessie could glance it over.

Hey Buzzy Wuzzy. It's Jessiepoo - ₎₃ -

Buzz stared at the message, trying to decipher it. He recognized his own name as well as Jessie's but everything else was lost on him. Who was Wuzzy? Why would Jessie call hersef poo? Was this a low self esteem episode? Was the accident that bad? What does en dash parenthese three en dash mean? He was so hyperfocused on the text, trying to see if he missed something that he completely missed the expression on Lily's face; she was fighting for her life not to burst into laughter right there and then and risk waking up the whole house.

At the same time, Jessie demanded to know what Smarty had sent on her behalf, seeing how he seemed way too pleased with himself. He feigned offense at the accusation before Jessie stared daggers at him, ready to ditch the convo all together and torture the buttons off him (again). He fessed up and relished in the horrified look on her face when she realized what utterly embarrassing bullcrap he had sent on her behalf. He was able to hold her off from beating him up by reminding her that she'd need him alive to fix the misunderstanding, all the while Snappy and Atlas were having their own laughing fit at the scene unfolding.

Once she regained her composure, Jessie scolded him again and asked him to get serious; Buzz had yet to reply and she could only hope he hadn't seen the message yet.

lolololol

sorry that was me

back 2 sheriff

Buzz rolled his eyes at the infromation; of course it was Smartypants behind this, once again clearly not assesing the seriousness of the situation.

"Lily, can you please write 'Greetings Jessie, how are you?'" He finally decided, not willing to let Lily and Smarty take over the conversation before he even gets started. "Hey, stop right there." He scolded Lily when he saw her grin while typing 'Jessica' instead of 'Jessie'. The last thing he needed right now was Lily opening that can of worms…again.

Jessie hurried to respond. "Say 'Hi Buzz, I'm fine. How are you holding up?" she instructed, missing Snappy's "He's not." comment amidst Atla's laughter. Those three found everything hilarious, apparently.

"And don't you dare add an emojicon." she added, staring down at the toy.

Smarty complied, holding back from correcting her, fearing for his safety.

Buzz was happy to receive an actual answer from the actual Jessie.

"'Everything is in order.'" He said to Lily's voice to text. "Bullseye is out cold after playing with the LGMs." He makes sure to add, to let her know that Bullseye was made aware of the situation and that he was holding up well.

Jessie appreciated the update, though the space ranger was the one she was more concerned about. She felt embarrassed that she had to do this through Smarty, but checking up on Buzz was more important. And let's be honest— they would find a way to tease her either way.

"What about you?" She said, not daring to look up from Buzz's message. A wise choice, as the AAs were simply a little too delighted to thirdwheel through it all.

As soon as the message arrived, Buzz felt quite bashful at Jessie's specified concern. Of course she would worry about him. Somehow that made him feel quite happy despite their current circumstances.

Though he wasn't quite sure what was the appropriate response to the question. He was holding up way better than last time, that's for sure. He could tell her he's fine, because at least this time he knows she's safe and that she's coming back to him, but it wouldn't be quite the truth either. And he promised to always tell her nothing but the truth—that was the foundation of their relationship be it before or after they got married. She also would have a hard time believing he was taking this well. He knew she knew him too well to see through his calm facade. Even via just stiff messaging.

"I will be fine." He spoke into the tablet's microphone. "I just…" he hesitates a moment before he says "…miss you".

He must have lost himself in thought trying to come up with an appropriate response that he forgot he wasn't talking to just Jessie; he was rudely reminded of the lack of privacy by Lily staring at him smirking and realized that this was definitely not staying between them and he was definitely not going to hear the end of it any time soon. It was still a small price to pay to make sure to remind Jessie that he's here thinking of her, waiting for her.

Jessie couldn't help the smile on her face when she received Buzz's text. She really missed him too and there was nothing she wanted more than to be by his side right now. Nothing… except maybe to find a way to strangle the three toys in front of her who were awwing and cooing at what should've been a private conversation with her husband.

"Aww you guys are so cute." Smarty said half sincere, half sarcastic. "You make me want to throw up. And I don't even have a button for that!" He laughed.

"You won't have any if you keep this up…" Snappy whispered to him as if to chastise him, though without stopping her own laughter.

Jessie could only give them an unamused look as she was unable to defend herself. The truth is, they were being uncharacteristically sappy and public. It was fine when Bonnie or Blaze were leading the scene but anything beyond that they preferred to stay between them. But alas, desparate times called for desparate measures.

If she had to go through Atlas, Snappy, Smarty and, worst of all, Lily to make sure Buzz was okay then so be it. She wasn't going to shy away now.

She felt the expectant looks directed at her. "Say…" she turns to Smarty, looking down at his screen, Buzz's message still open. "'I miss you too. Try to get some sleep for me, okay?"

She knows he technically didn't need it, but she thinks it would help with taking his mind off things and help the time pass faster. She doesn't write it but she hopes he understands that she will try to do the same.

Buzz tried to keep his composure at the sweet words he received from Jessie, but there was no holding back that smug grin spreading across his face. If she were here, she'd tease him about how he looked 'so darned pleased with himself' but still double down on her words, making sure that he followed her suggestion and… Blast! He missed her too much to even think about it…

Lily wondered if she could take a sneak shot of the silly space man and send it to the others right now. Or maybe preserve it for any potential future use. She knows Jessica must have been sporting quite the expression too sending that. Should she ask Snappy after?

Before Buzz could muster up the courage to reply, he heard footsteps approaching. He alerts Lily who immediately runs into action.

Someone's coming. G2g.

After that, she wipes any proof of the convo and switches back to her normal mode. Buzz watches disappointed to have the conversation hijacked without properly greeting Jessie good night but takes his place nonetheless. Sure enough, a few moments later dad walks in the room to check up on Bonnie. They were too preoccupied with the conversation to notice how Bonnie had somehow kicked off all the covers of her bed. Dad carefully picked them up and tucked her in again, before leaving.

Buzz was about to ask Lily if he could send one last message when he noticed her fast asleep on her charging pad. Whenever she had to use her different OS to talk with the toys at Blaze's, it seemed that her battery drained way faster and would immediately ask for time to recover. He wouldn't hold that against her, not especially after helping him so much with the current situation. He tries to get more comfortable on the bedside table and follow through with Jessie's orders. After all, he had a long day ahead of him as a Deputy tomorrow.

When they received Lily's last message, Jessie and the others decided to call it a night too, wiping out the proof. Of course, she wouldn't be let off the hook that easily, not when the three other toys in the closet seemed to be having the time of their lives.

"Let's not do that ever again." Jessie tells Buzz, as she leans her head on his shoulder, both hidden under the bed, their best bet on an attempt at privacy.

The two days had passed mostly uneventful, if you ignore the constant teasing both of them had to endure at the hands of their fellow toys. Blaze had returned Jessie in mint condition and they picked up the story exactly where they left it off.

After an exciting series of epic adventures, betrayals and plot twists where fresh recruit Agent Doll-E saved the day, it was lunch time for the girls.

Bonnie had placed Jessie and Buzz on the bed, almost strategically, and as soon as the coast cleared she grabbed him and without a word sneaked under the bed with him. Someone probably noticed them but she had to bet on their friends' discretion.

"Engage with the dino-sharks unarmed?" He asked, referencing the scenario Blaze had put them during playtime.

She laughed at that. "No, silly. Though I guess Agent Clydesdale and Agent Astro oughta be more careful too…" she mused, catching herself going off topic. "I meant being apart. If we have to, at least I'd like to know beforehand. Like when Bonnie brings only one of us to grandma for the weekend."

He smiles at her and leans closer, their heads bumping. "I would appreciate that as well. It was really disorienting when I didn't see you come out of Bonnie's backpack." He admits. That statement alone made Jessie stand up a bit straighter and turn to look him in the eye. She bit her lip and unconsciously started stroking her braid. She didn't mean to make Buzz worry again.

Buzz quickly caught on her uneasiness. "Hey. I'm not blaming you." He reassured her, enveloping the hand nervously playing with her braid into his much bigger one. It seemed to help. "I was just worried about the whole situation. I know you hate getting dirty too." She met his eyes and simply nodded. They had lived together long enough to have gotten themselves into quite the messy situations either at the hands of kiss or their own silliness. While Buzz could recover with an agressive yet simple wipe, Jessie's physique took much longer to clean and most importantly, to dry. They had lost count of the times Buzz would keep her company when Andy's mom would leave her on the drying rack or the clothesline.

"At least my hair was spared this time…" she commented, remembering the uncomfortable weight of her wet yarn hair. Buzz hummed in acknowledgment, guiding their joined hands lower so he could properly get closer to her. Jessie reciprocated, her free hand resting on his chest plate. Yep, that felt right.

"Can't say the same about my dignity." she feigned a sigh. "You saw what Smarty sent on my behalf, didn't you?"

Buzz furrowed his eyebrows recalling the confusing message. "Yes, it was… perpelexing to say the least."

Jessie snorted at the description, glad that Buzz didn't believe it came from her. Her expression soured as she talked. "Those three were insufferable these past two days."

Buzz could imagine. After all, the rest of their friends here at Bonnie's were acting the same way. It was almost as if they were trying to annoy them out of missing each other. Obviously, it didn't work.

"Let's not do that again." Buzz parroted Jessie's earlier statement, earning an enthusiastic "yay!" from his Sheriff as she nuzzled her head on his neck in celebration. He relished in her touch and reciprocated as he stroked her back.

For a while, they were sitting quietly under the bed, making sure to look out for any sign of the girls returning. They hadn't been counting but it felt like they were gone for a while and since no one came looking for them, it didn't seem like they were coming back any time soon either.

Today, they wouldn't complain about it.

"You know, I suspect the girls might plan an actual spa day later."When Blaze brought her back, they kept giggling about how refreshing her 'spa weekend off' had been and how they ought to give her other toys one too.

Buzz was resting his hand on Jessie's waist and when he heard that, his grip tightened. He wasn't fan of the spa playtimes. "Oh boy…" he exclaimed nervously, as Jessie patted his cheek to comfort him.

Buzz was waterproof but he preferred himself either on the air or in the ground. Aquatic endeavors rarely ended well for him. Thankfully, adults seemed to agree and he rarely found himself at risk. But spa days in particular always meant smearing something on his plastic body and leaving him with an uncomfortable sensations in his nooks and crannies.

"Last time, I had leftover cucumber skin on the edge of my helmet."

Jessie laughed at the memory. She remembered how grossed out he was when he tried to fish it out. His thick plastic fingers would not go through the crevice and he had to ask her for help.

She was tracing the place where his helmet retracted, as if reminsicing. Then she went lower and continued tracing his chestplate. "It's alright though."

Jessie's expression was quite cheeky, and Buzz just raised an eyebrow in question.

Her hand never stopped drawing circles on his chest. "I can just help you get rid of anything that bothers you." As she said that, she slipped her hand under the inside of his chestplate, earning a surprise reaction out of him and rendering him speechless. Exactly what she was going for.

She took advantage of his shocked reacting to sweep him of his feet and dip him into a kiss. Buzz had barely processed anything by the time he started kissing her back. That happened one too many times once they got into it like that.
