Work Text:
For the first time in months, Billy can feel genuine emotions again.
Relief.
Happiness.
Joy.
Arousal.
Hunger.
Exhaustion.
Love.
Peace.
Anger.
Protectiveness.
It's strange.
But he feels a lot better than he did when he was on the meds.
Despite that, Billy knows that the darkness, the mood swings will come back.
Maybe tomorrow.
Or next week.
When they do, he'll begin slipping.
Going downhill.
Becoming so possessive.
So arrogant.
So cruel.
Sadistic.
Menacing, the thought of which hurts him because he hates being an absolute bastard.
For the moment, though, he's content.
And that's all that matters to him.
Nothing else.
Not even his girlfriend, Claire Fisher.
With that, Billy gets to his feet, ready to face the day ahead.
