Work Text:
brendon park does not care that you want to post him on social media. he cares about you, yes—but social media? the man scrolls through twitter, at best.
you post soft launches, at first—a hint of a man's hand and a watch on your instagram story. the flowers that brendon has delivered to your doorstep. a breakfast table set for two.
small glimpses into the way that brendon shows love.
then The Video comes across your page. a trend: to tie a pretty bow around a bicep, and for the bicep to flex until the ribbon snaps.
it took a surprisingly little amount of effort to convince brendon to participate. he even went so far as to talk you through the process of tying the bow neater.
you rolled your eyes. called him a typical surgery jock. he flexed. the bow lasted half a second.
you huff. say that he’s proven your point. then you ask him to play nicely since he’s practiced, and you hit record on your phone.
the camera view has both of you just barely in the frame: brendon’s shoulder, and your hands as they tie the ribbon around the muscle once more.
he flexes.
the ribbon pops.
the video gains enough views that something like jealousy knocks at your ribs, and you decide that you’ll take a small break from posting him to the public.
