When he learns that Nate has died, Billy can't believe what he's hearing.
He knew of AMV.
Had researched it online, extensively.
He'd honestly believed, even hoped Nate would pull through.
Survive.
Return to help running the funeral home while living with Brenda and raising Maya with her.
Yet...
Yet at the same time, it felt like Nate was doomed from the very beginning.
He was the oldest of the Fisher kids, the first to leave home.
To get married.
Have a kid and then die at the young age of just 40.
It's just dumbfounding.
Crazy, at least.
He's already on the next available flight back to Los Angeles so that he can help Brenda mourn the loss of her husband.
He's not doing this out of brotherly love.
No.
He's pretty much torn through Dubai and left carnage in his wake so it's better for him to leave instead of getting caught by the authorities.
If they've all written him off for good, he doesn't care.
He's had his fun.
He needs to focus on his family.
And as the plane takes off, Billy sleeps, knowing that this will probably be the only time he can truly rest.
