"Come ONNN, Carter! Just once!"
She rolls her eyes.
"I'm sorry, Sir. I have work in the lab."
"BUT THAT'S BORING! The Simpsons isn't!"
She sighs.
"Go ask Daniel!"
I stalk off.
Maybe Daniel will appreciate art.
Daniel comes around the corner with a stack of boring-looking books in his arms.
"Daniel! Just the man I was looking for!"
"Not right now, Jack. I just discovered a breakthrough in-."
"Ahh ahh ah. THAT. Can wait. What cannot wait is my VHS calling to me. Beer at my house. Come ON, Daniel!"
He frowns.
"What are we watching?"
"The BEST show in existence!"
He sighs in annoyance.
"The Simpsons. Sorry Jack. Never my thing."
I groan.
"You'll regret this. I'm going to laugh at all of you while enjoying the best family show ever!"
I decide to try my luck with Teal'c.
He's sitting in his room kalnooreening or whatever.
"Teal'c! Got any plans for tonight buddy?"
He silently looks up.
"I am engaged with a pressing matter at the moment O'Neill. What is it you wish of me?"
"BEER! AT MY HOUSE! TONIGHT!"
He nods serenely.
"I will attend. Is Daniel Jackson coming as well?"
I blink.
"YES!!"
I skip out of the room.
I can get the rest of the team to attend. They owe me.
2 hours later.
We sit crammed on my couch.
"This is most amusing O'Neill."
I grin.
"I KNOW!"
Daniel snores softly.
We're watching an episode titled: Simpsons roasting on an open fire.
Teal'c spontaneously starts laughing at the wrong time.
"AHAHAHAHHA!"
I blink.
"Maybe this was a bad idea... Who wants a beer?!"
