Work Text:

It’s been quite some time since they’ve all been stuck in this realm. It’s also quite rare for a new survivor to be banished here.

But that’s exactly what happened!

They were all chattering in the main cabin after a round, doing their own thing when suddenly there was a thump outside. Everyone’s heads snapped to the sound, on high alert.

“The hell?” Guest 1337 muttered, standing up to check out the sound. He walked carefully to the door, creaking it open.

Outside was a small child, about six, flat on the ground laying on their stomach. There were sniffles coming from them, wings fluttering slightly.

Now where have I seen those wings?

He approached the small child gently, kneeling down in the saviour’s position.

“Hey kid. What’s wrong?” The blue haired soldier asked softly, propping the child up on a stump. He froze when he saw them.

They looked exactly like Shedletsky. Like, eerily similar.

“I wuz looking f-for mahpapa b-becus h-he (sniffle) wuz g-gone s-suddenly and-and then I-I fell thwough da ground and ended up h-here…” The child said, sniffling.

“I might know where your papa is,” Guest said, taking hold of the child’s hand. “Follow?” He prompted gently like handling a startled animal. (Which he pretty much was)

The child nodded, following Guest 1337 with small steps. They stumbled over their own feet sometimes.

The door creaked open, the child walking in first. Their wet eyes raked through the other survivors before landing on Shedletsky. Their eyes lit up instantly.

“Papapapapapapa!” They babbled excitedly, letting go of Guest’s hand and running up to Shedletsky.

The winged admin froze as he saw the small child run up to him. He recovered quickly, arms opening awkwardly to catch the small child.

“So, mind explainin’ this?” Builderman asked, crossing his arms and arching an eyebrow. His eyes flicked over to the small child and Shedletsky over and over again. Can he not do that it’s pissing me off.

Shedletsky stammers, glancing at literally everywhere to come up with an excuse. If he didn’t find one in time, his ass is going to be a dead hawk. Or dove. Whatever his birdness mostly is.

“Urmmm…” Shedletsky chuckles awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck. He looks at Dusekkar. The pumpkin-deer-whatever shook his head.

“My dear bird friend, better to explain than let Builderman reach his end.” Dusekkar said smoothly, the flame in his pumpkin flaring slightly.

Shedletsky groans, raising the small child like Simba from the Lion King. He clears his throat before speaking lowly.

“WhenIwasstillTelamonItriedtomakeaperfectselfbutfailedandhe’stheoutcome.” He said rapidly, like he was afraid to spout it out. The other survivors just tilted their heads and gestured for him to rewind what the hell he just said.

“Ugh,” the hawk-dove admin groaned before starting over. “When I was still Telamon, I tried to make a perfect version of myself but it failed and he’s the outcome.” He said agonisingly slowly this time.

“And his name is..?” Chance prompted, using his coin as some sort of magical staff. Dude probably felt like a wizard asking his apprentice what his wizardly magical name was.

“Oh, Bricky.” Shedletsky said, grinning.

“…Bricky???? That sounds so lame.” Noob muttered, brushing a strand of hair behind their ear.

“Well, it was between that and Telamon Junior.” The winged admin said again.

“WHY WOULD IT BE BETWEEN THAT AND TELAMON JUNIOR???” 007n7 exclaimed after overhearing the… whatever man I don’t even know at this point.

Shedletsky opens his maw, closes it, opens it again, closes it. He looks like a malfunctioning Freddy Fazbear on drugs. For some reason.

When he realises he has no beautifully correct answer (or lie), he mutters:

“I dunno…” he says, eyes glancing everywhere but the other survivors.
