Work Text:
The glow of the setting sun illuminated the park. Nervously, Karamatsu stood at the bridge where he met the woman he felt was the one for him. He brought out his mirror to adjust his hair and to help calm himself. After all, he cannot look nervous for his most precious Karamatsu Girl! A few moments later, Karamatsu felt a tap on his shoulder. He quickly placed his mirror in his jacket and tried to suppress all his nervousness.
“A-ah! My one and only Karamatsu Girl!", he said as he turned to face the one who tapped him, "I see you've returned to me once again!"
He was met with that smiling face he fell in love with. He returned her smile and pulled a rose from his jacket.
“A rose for my rose!”
“I really need to teach you how to dress.” Buddy said, taking the rose from him.
“Does my outfit pain you, my dear? I am truly a sinful man”, he said, “A guilty guy who harms the ones he loves.”
Buddy laughed, and he let out a small sigh of relief. To be honest, he had no idea if that would make her laugh. He looked to see that the sun had sunken into the horizon and that dusk had fell upon the two. The park lights across the bridge lit up, first in the area across from them, then it began to drift across the bridge. Karamatsu took the chance in that beautiful moment to bring Buddy close to him. He lowered his sunglasses so he could look directly into her eyes. The action was sudden, and Buddy looked back at him alarmed.
“My dearest Karamatsu Girl…”, he began, “There is something I’d like to tell you.”
He stared at her with his big, anime eyes.
“I-I seem to have…”
His eyes grew bigger. They were unblinking, and sparkling beautifully.
“I-I!”
They grew. They would not stop growing.
“I love you!”
His eyes were sparkling voids, ever growing. They continued growing, swallowing everything around them. They swallowed the park and everyone in it. They seemed to have swallowed Karamatsu. They swallowed the entirety of Japan. They swallowed the Earth. They swallowed the Universe. There was nothing. There is nothing. All that remains are the empty, sparkling, Karamatsu Eyes.
