Chapter Text
I thought I’d give this up when we left. It’s hard to justify wasting paper on writing, and I don’t like to do it on computers. But I can’t stop thinking, so I guess I’ll power through.
It’s hard to tell day from night. We have a rough estimate of time, but we’re bound to be off by a bit by now. Regardless, we call this time, nighttime. Maybe it’s right. I always did like to write at night. That, or my body just adjusted to our arbitrary times.
Ugh.
I really hate typing. I really do. I feel like all my thoughts need to be constantly revised because I don’t have to struggle to do it. On paper, you have to flip your pencil around, or grab an entirely separate eraser. It’s annoying enough for me to push through and continue writing instead. On a computer, all you have to do is hold down a button, then type the same sentence with slightly different grammar and words over and over again.
Wait okay I think I’ve got this. If I just don’t think too hard, the words will just come out. Except that won’t work now that I’m thinking about it, will it?
I hate writing. Stupid hobby. Did I ever get better at it? I guess I’ll never know, given my old journals were probably destroyed by a volcanic eruption, or rising sea levels, or one of the millions of other things that make the planet completely uninhabitable. I don’t wanna think about that.
I really don’t wanna think about that.
What else am I supposed to write?
Never mind.
