Work Text:
Examining Navy Commander Brian Farrell's remains on the autopsy table, Gibbs can't help but feel uneasy about the team's latest case.
He knows that Farrell was shot dead along with two drug dealers, their remains winding up on a beach but there's a lot of unanswered questions- if it's a drug deal gone wrong, where's the money?
It all feels off.
Unusual.
Strange.
His gut's in overdrive yet again.
It's telling him this is murder and terrorism.
Which if true is scary.
Terrifying.
Unnerving.
But he can't let the fear consume him.
He won't.
They killed a Navy Commander.
The team needs to find out what the upcoming attack is, where it is going to happen and how dangerous it could be to the US as a whole.
Until then, they can't rest.
Not yet.
Not while there's still a threat out there that needs to be stopped, sooner than later.
