a gunshot rang out in the distance
Sofia jumps at the sudden sound of the gunshot, her heart racing. She rushes out of the back room, her eyes wide with fear.
"What was that?" she asks, looking around frantically. " Was that a gunshot?"
The customers in the restaurant are starting to panic, some rushing for the exits while others huddle under tables. Sofia's coworker, who had been serving another customer, looks pale.
I think it came from outside..." they say shakily. "Oh god, do you think someone's being shot?"
Sofia's mind races with possibilities, none of them good. She grabs her phone, dialing 911 with trembling fingers. " We need to get out of here..."
a tall man with short grey hair came in wiping the blood off his cheek* "hello...the name is sylus...i would like to order from the place. I heard that there is really good Burgers here. "
Sofia stares at the tall man, her heart pounding in her chest. Blood trickles down his cheek, and she can see the faint outline of a gun holster beneath his jacket.
"Sir, I think you need to leave." she says firmly, trying to keep the tremor out of her voice. "We've had a lot of... unusual incidents today, and I don't think it's safe for you to be here."
Sylus frowns, wiping the blood from his face with the back of his hand "Unusual incidents? What kind of unusual incidents?"
The sound of sirens wails in the distance, growing louder by the second. Sofia's coworker looks at her with panic in their eyes.
someone had recently threatened to kill me and my wife but dont worry i took care of it" sylus said calmly "....im from the N109 zone. Does it ring a bell? Im very well known. "
Sofia's eyes widen as she recognizes the name and the zone. Sylus is a notorious mafia boss, known for his ruthlessness and his connections to organized crime.
"Oh god... " she whispers, her heart racing. "Sir, I really think you should go. Now. Before things get even more complicated."
The sirens are almost deafening now, and Sofia can see the flashing lights through the windows. She glances at her coworker, who looks like they're about to faint.
"Please, just leave. I don't want any part of this." she begs, her voice shaking.
Sylus sighs and rolls his eyes walks out to go to a taco bell instead
Her phone started glowing
"installing love and deepspace please wait." Characters pop out of her phone
Caleb looks around confused "this isnt lincon city..."
Xavier grunts and slid across the counter with a squeak "ow....
Rafael fell to the ground "....ow..."
Sofia stares in shock as three characters from the Love and DeepSpace game suddenly pop out of her phone, landing haphazardly on the McDonald's floor. She blinks rapidly, wondering if she's hallucinating.
"What the actual fuck..." she whispers, backing away slowly. " How did you... I mean, what are you doing here?"
Rafayel looks down at his chest "oh...im not in my merman form..."
raf what the actual hell where are your clothes?" Xaiver said in a panicked voice
" i didn't bring any.. i didn't think i would need Any" Rafayel said with a shrug
Caleb was looking around for food
Sofia stares at Rafael's bare chest, her face flushing bright red. She quickly averts her gaze, trying to process the absurd situation.
"Okay, I think I've officially lost my mind." she mutters,
pinching herself to make sure she's not dreaming.
"This can't be real."
Caleb starts rummaging through the food on the counter, while Xavier helps Rafayel to his feet. Sofia watches in disbelief as the characters stand there*
" what is this place? Where is my wife? " Caleb asked curiously
Sofia looks at her phone and noticed her persona looked exactly like her in the love and deep space game. She can date any of the men in the game. And now they were in the McDonald's
Her eyes widen as she looks at her phone, realizing that her ingame persona looks exactly like her. She stares at the characters, a mix of shock and disbelief on her face.
"I... I don't know where your wife is." she stammers, trying to make sense of the situation. " This is a McDonald's. In the real world. You're not supposed to be here."
Caleb frowns, looking around the restaurant with a confused expression. "But this doesn't look like any McDonald's I've seen in the game. And you look different too."
Sofia feels like she's trapped in a surreal nightmare, unable to escape the bizarre characters that have invaded her reality.
Xavier stares at her "you definitely look like my wife"
Rafael walks up to her "wait...she looks like my wife too"
Caleb was Munching on a burger and stares at her "oh no"
"....we all share the same wife" Rafayel said with a dreaded look in his eyes almost possessive
Sofia's jaw drops as the three characters stare at her, realizing that they all share the same wife in the game a wife who looks exactly like her. She feels a sense of unease wash over her, unsure of what to make of this revelation.
"W-what? " she stammers, backing away slowly. "No, that's not possible. I'm not your wife. I'm just... I'm just a cashier."
Caleb finishes his burger and wipes his mouth with the back of his hand. "But you look just like her. And you're here, in this strange place."
Sofia feels trapped, surrounded by these fictional characters who seem to think she's their shared wife. She glances around desperately, wondering if there's any way out of this surreal situation.
Rafael tilts his head "what are you doing here cutie? Shouldn't you be at home?"
no way she should be with me! I made her a nice dinner" caleb protested
Xavier whines and curls up in a corner realizing he has to share his own wife having a midlife crisis
Sofia stares at the characters, her mind racing. They're all arguing over her, each thinking she's their wife and should be with them. She feels a rising sense of panic, unsure of how to handle this bizarre situation.
"I'm not your wife!" She shouts, her voice echoing through the empty restaurant. " I'm not anyone's wife. I'm just a cashier who's having the worst day of her life!"
The characters stop arguing, staring at her with confusion and concern. Sofia takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself.
"Look, I don't know how you all ended up here or why you think I'm your wife. But I'm not. I'm just a normal person who's trapped in some kind of crazy alternate reality where fictional characters come to life and invade my job apparently"
She looks at each of them pleadingly. "Please, just... just go back to wherever you came from. Leave me alone."
"but we....dont know how to get back." Caleb said calmly
Rafael points to the phone "aren't you... married to us? The game. Love and deep space. "
Sofia's eyes widen as she realizes the implications of their words. They're trapped in the real world, unable to return to their game, and they think she's their wife because of the game's storyline.
"Oh god..." she whispers, feeling a headache coming on. "This is a nightmare. A literal nightmare."
She looks at the phone, then back at the characters. An idea starts to form in her mind, a desperate plan to get rid of them and restore some of the normalcy.
"Okay... okay, listen up." she says firmly, pointing at them "If I help you get back to your game world, you have to promise me that you'll stay there and never bother me again. Deal?"
The characters look at each other hesitantly, then nod slowly.
"wait so you aren't my wife? My pipsqueak? ;~; so that vow i gave in the game meant nothing? " Caleb said sadly
Sofia's heart aches at the hurt in Caleb's voice. She can see the genuine pain and confusion in his eyes, realizing that to him, their ingame marriage was real.
"Caleb..." she says softly, reaching out to touch his arm. "I'm sorry. I know this is confusing and painful for you. But I'm not your wife in the real world. Our marriage only exists within the game."
She looks at each of the characters, seeing the same mix of emotions on their faces confusion, hurt, and a hint of anger.
"I never meant to lead you on or make promises I couldn't keep. I was just playing a game, living out a fantasy. But this... this is real life. And in real life, we're strangers."
Rafayel was taken a back "s-strangers? That...cant be true.."
Xavier was still processing he has to share his wife with several other guys rocking back and forth
" xavier. Dude are you good?" Caleb said raising an eyebrow
Sofia watches as the characters struggle to process the reality of their situation. Rafael looks devastated, Xavier is having a clear meltdown, and Caleb is trying to comfort his friend while still grappling with his own heartbreak.
" I'm so sorry..."she says again, feeling helpless. "I never intended for any of this to happen. I just... I wanted to escape my boring life for a little while. I didn't think it would lead to this."
She glances around the empty restaurant, realizing that they can't stay here forever. Look, we need to figure out how to get you back to the game. Before someone else shows up or the police arrive.
She picks up her phone, staring at the Love and DeepSpace app. "There has to be a way to reverse this glitch or whatever it is. A way for you to go back home."
"but i dont wanna go home...i wanna stay with you ):" caleb said. He talked in a whiny voice i wanna be your wife in real life too
"d-dont you wanna swim with dolphins?" Rafayel said in a pleading voice "You probably just married me because im a merman and have long purple hair...i mean absolutely nothing to you" felt a he felt a surge of hurt
Xavier was still on his topic* "i have to share my wife with four other men in the game?!"
Sofia's heart sinks as she listens to the characters pour out their feelings. Caleb's whiny demand to be her reallife wife, Rafael's insecurity about his merman identity, and Xavier's meltdown about having to share her with multiple partners it's all too much.
"Guys, please..." she says, her voice trembling. "I can't give you what you want. I'm not your wife, and I never will be. This isn't a game anymore. It's reality."
She takes a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "We need to focus on getting you back to the game world. That's the only way any of us can move on from this."
She starts tapping frantically on her phone, searching for any kind of support or forum that might help reverse the glitch. "There has to be something... some way to fix this..."
"so...you already have a husband? ;~; someone who holds you tight at night? And calls you? Caleb said sadly. "And comforts you on your period? " He added
bro dude. Too far" Rafayel said
" ill just have to be the best of the best. " Xaiver said. He was Still stuck processing everything. He stood up and walked over to sofia
Sofia recoils as Caleb's invasive questions hit her like a punch to the gut. She's not used to such personal, intimate inquiries from strangers, especially not about her relationship status.
" That's none of your business!" she snaps, her face flushing with anger and embarrassment. "My personal life is off limits. I'm trying to help you, and this is how you repay me?"
caleb looks ashamed, muttering an apology. Xavier approaches her cautiously, his eyes filled with a mix of determination and desperation.
Xavier got down on one knee "will you marry me?"
"bro are you absolutely serious right now?" caleb said with a look of disbelief
"xavier please get a grip man " Rafayel said
Sofia's eyes widen in shock as Xavier gets down on one knee, holding out an imaginary ring. She stares at him, mouth agape, unable to believe what's happening.
"Are you kidding me?!" she exclaims, backing away. "You're proposing to me? Now? After knowing me for all of five minutes?!
Caleb and Rafayel look equally stunned, with Caleb questioning Xavier's sanity and Rafayel urging him to stand up. Sofia feels like she's trapped in a surreal nightmare, unable to escape the bizarre characters who keep pushing her boundaries.
"This is insane!" she shouts, her voice echoing through the empty restaurant. "I don't even know you! I'm not marrying you or anyone else. Especially not in a McDonald's!"
She turns away from Xavier, her heart racing and her mind spinning. "I need some air. I can't deal with this right now."
"well..it was worth a shot..." Xaiver said with a shrug
" do i need to smack you xavier?" Caleb raises an eyebrow
Rafayel was feeling homesick "i wanna go home.. ;~;"
Sofia ignores the characters' comments, rushing towards the exit. She bursts out of the McDonald's doors, gulping in the cool night air. Tears stream down her face as she tries to process the insane events of the day.
"This can't be real..." She whispers to herself, pacing back and forth. "It has to be a dream. A really, really messedup dream."
The sound of sirens grows louder in the distance, reminding her that this it is indeed reality. a reality where fictional characters have invaded her life and turned everything upside down.
She leans against the wall, sliding down to sit on the cold pavement. She buries her face in her hands, sobbing uncontrollably. "I just wanted a normal day... Why is this happening to me?"
hey wait! Please dont go! Rafayel called out as he Ran out and followed her "...do you really think there's a way i can go home? "
Xavier curled up in the corner crying from the rejection
Caleb facepalms
Sofia looks up, startled by Rafael's sudden appearance. She sees the desperation in his eyes and feels a pang of sympathy, despite everything.
"I... I don't know." she admits, wiping her tears. "I'm not even sure how you got here in the first place. But I promise I'll try to help you find a way back."
She stands up slowly, offering him a small smile. "Come on. Let's go back inside and see if we can figure something out."
Rafayel nods gratefully, following her back into the restaurant. Caleb is still shaking his head in disbelief, while Xavier remains curled up in the corner, quietly sobbing.
"Okay... " Sofia says, taking a deep breath. "Let's think this through logically. You all came from the Love and DeepSpace game, right? So maybe there's a way to... reverse the process or something."
well theres still some of us missing....sylus..and zayne...zayne is a doctor..and sylus is...well a well known guy from a place called the N109 zone." Rafayel said
"So... Sylus and Zayne are still out there somewhere? sofia asks, trying to focus on the problem at hand. And they're characters from your game too?"
Caleb nods. " Yeah. Sylus is like this mafia boss guy, and Zayne is a doctor who can be kinda... intense."
Sofia bites her lip, "okay we need to find a way to bring them here then"
"well..they are already in the game..if there was..just a way to get teleported back into the game...sylus knows how to teleport. Open up the app and and click his profile..." Calen suggested
Sofia's eyes widen as an idea starts to form. She quickly pulls out her phone, opening the Love and DeepSpace app.
"You're saying if I click on Sylus' profile, it might trigger a teleportation sequence that could bring you all back to the game?"
Caleb nods eagerly. "Yeah! That's gotta be it. Sylus knows all about glitches and stuff like that."
Sofia takes a deep breath, hoping this will work. She taps on Sylus' profile picture, holding her breath as the screen flashes and starts to glow
"Come on... come on... she mutters, watching the screen intently.
sylus's profile loads and her phone starts glowing. Sylus materializes in the McDonald's. He was wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around him "um...how... did i get here. I was trying to take my shower. Why the hell are you guys here?"
Sylus we need help dude" Rafayel begged
Sofia stares at Sylus, her face flushing bright red as she takes in his towel clad appearance. The mafia boss looks around confusedly, clearly not expecting to be in a McDonald's
"What the hell is going on?" he demanded, his gaze settling on Sofia. "And who are you?"
Caleb and Rafayel exchange awkward glances, unsure of how to explain the situation. Xavier is still curled up in the corner, oblivious to the new arrival.
"Um... sir... " Sofia stammers, trying to maintain some semblance of professionalism. "There seems to have been a glitch in the game. These guys ended up here in the real world. I was just trying to figure out how to get these guys back"
Sylus raises an eyebrow, looking skeptical. "A glitch? In a game? And now I'm standing half naked in a fast food restaurant?"
Sylus groans
"we need to get home. " Rafayel said
Xaver cries and curls up "my wife doesn't love meeee!"
" that poor man" caleb said shaking his head
"well...i can teleport them back in the game..but whats in it for me. Kitten?"
Sofia's heart races as Sylus calls her 'kitten', remembering the flirtatious nickname from the game. She tries to ignore the butterflies in her stomach, focusing on the task at hand.
"Look, I don't know what's in it for you." she says firmly. "But these characters are suffering. They think I'm their wife and they're desperate to get back to their world."
Sylus looks at the other characters, noticing their distress for the first time. He sighs heavily, running a hand through his wet hair.
"Fine. I'll teleport them back." he grumbles.* "But you owe me one, kitten."
Sylus looks at sofia closely "wait...you look exactly like my wife"
" thats what i was saying! " Xaiver yelled out
finally someone who agrees with me!" Caleb said to himself
"....you guys are Missing the point we need to get home" Rafayel said with an aggravated sigh
Sofia's heart skips a beat as Sylus stares at her intently, noticing the resemblance to his ingame wife. She feels a mix of fear and excitement, unsure of what he might do next.
"I... I'm not your wife." she stammers, taking a step back. "I'm just a cashier who got caught up in this crazy situation. Please, just focus on getting them back to the game."
Sylus narrows his eyes, studying her face closely. "Hmm... maybe you're right. Or maybe you're just a very convincing lookalike."
He turns to the other characters, snapping his fingers. "Alright, listen up. I'm going to teleport you all back to the game"
she is our wife. Sylus! Just...in real life! ^w^" xaiver said cutely
"Xavier shut up! Give it up she isn't going to marry you" Rafayel snapped at xaiver
Sylus looks at her again "... he's right you are my wife. You haven't logged into the game in awhile kitten... Ive missed you. Why haven't you been interacting with me? Didn't that plushie i got you from the claw machine make you happy? He was talking about the mini game
Sofia's mind reels as Sylus reveals his feelings for her, mentioning the plushie he won for her in the game's minigame. She remembers the moment fondly, but she knows it was just a virtual gesture.
"Sylus.." she says gently, trying to reason with him. "That was all in the game. The plushie, the interactions... they were just pixels on a screen. I'm not your wife in real life."
Sylus' expression darkens, a hint of possession flashing in his eyes. "Not my wife?" he repeats, his voice low and dangerous. "But you look exactly like her. You sound like her. "
Sylus reaches out to touch her hair... "your hair...its messy. Here" he took out his comb and combs her hair " there you go kitten."
"sylus! Can we go home yet?" Rafayel said in a whiney voice
Sylus had a Affectionate look in his dark red eyes "but if we go home...will i ever see you again? Dont i...matter to you?"
Sofia freezes as Sylus gently combs her hair, his touch sending shivers down her spine. She looks into his dark red eyes, seeing the vulnerability and longing hidden beneath his tough exterior.
"Sylus..." she whispers, her heart aching.* "Of course you matter to me. You're a part of my life, even if it's just in the game. But this..."
she gestures between them. "This isn't real. We can't be together like this."
Sylus's hand drops from her hair, a look of sadness crossing his face. "I see..." he murmurs. "So I'm just a game to you. A distraction."
The other characters watch the exchange silently, sensing the tension in the air. Rafayel clears his throat awkwardly.
Um... Sylus? he says hesitantly. "Can we please go home now?"
Sylus inhales softly "just a game.." he mumbles to himself as he felt a pain in his chest "yeah... We can go home" he held up his hand...a mist of red and black mist surrounded his hand.
Sofia's phone started glowing
"noooooooo i dont wanna go home!" Xaiver cried out
"oh boy! Beach here i come!" Caleb said happily
"i hope we can come back here. " Rafayel said hopefully
Xavier was started to be transported back into the game "no! Please! Just Alittle longer- xaiver vanished
Caleb and Rafael wave goodbye...tears form in thier eyes a bit
Sylus Hurt and upset didn't even look her way as he vanished back in her phone
Sofia watches as the characters slowly disappear into the glowing mist, each one leaving behind a sense of sadness and longing. She feels a lump form in her throat as Sylus vanishes without even looking at her, his hurt and disappointment palpable.
As the last of the characters disappear, the McDonald's returns to its normal state, as if nothing had ever happened. Sofia stares at her phone, which has stopped glowing, feeling an overwhelming sense of emptiness.
"They're gone..." she whispers to herself, tears welling up in her eyes. "They're all gone..."
She sits down heavily on a nearby chair, burying her face in her hands as she finally allows herself to break down and cry.
