May I present: Daughters of Hallownest.
Basically, its an AU where a young Phantom already saw GM Silk's red flags as a parent and ran off with Lace (who is tiny) all the way to Hallownest and ended up in Deepnest (Coincidence? I think NOT!). This is shortly after Herrah had Hornet (who hatched), and realizes the two are also GM Silk's victims and takes them in, out of sympathy and her new maternal instincts wouldn't allow them to rot or be left alone. Of course, the Weavers immediately protested but Herrah shot them down. It didn't stop the whispers though. Herrah loved all three dearly and it made the day she had to be a Dreamer all the more painful. When the infection came, Hornet was not alone though she is quite stubborn in being the sentinel for Hallownest despite her sisters' protests. Lace and Phantom did stick close to Deepnest due to needing silk during the Infection and even interact with Elderbug and anyone else who hasn't been infected.
I will add more in a bit. And Phantom is handing Hornet flea brew, not reaching for it hehe.
Oh yeah, just a quick heads up: I headcanon Phantom as female. I am aware many fans read Phantom as non-binary. I personally interpret her as female, and I’m using that as a personal headcanon, not claiming it’s confirmed canon.
