He Found it Curious
Tony sat at his desk, his computer on as he was finishing up the After-Action Reports from the terrorist attack earlier in the morgue.
Gibbs and Morgue Tech, Gerald, were both in surgery for the bullet wounds in the respective shoulders. Abby, Ducky, and Kate, were in the waiting room to keep watch. Gibbs would fight his forced medical leave and time off as was a given. Abby and Ducky had already been granted medical leave for mental health reasons and Gerald would be out for months. Kate had to be ordered to take time off after being a hostage and ordered to pass a psych exam because she had been a hostage. As far as he knew she was still trying to fight it as she “Was Fine,” which raised all sorts of red flags for him and everyone else about her and what happened.
He had a copy of the transcription from her recorded debrief right after everything cooled down, and her comments on why she hadn’t taken the terrorist down, was flagged by him and remarked about in his reports. Her “He had Kind Eyes,” was noted as that time was right after he had shot the hostage, Gerald, to prove his point that he was in control.
She made no more comment as to why she went there armed to do a simple hand over of samples, beyond saying, “It seemed appropriate.” Coupled with her “Kind Eyes” comment had Tony adding in that she was known for inappropriate sleeping around – See the term she was a Secret Service Agent and her sleeping with both ball carriers, then overlooking the terrorist’s lose background and allowing him to board.
Once was a thin accident that should have been looked into further. Twice was conspiracy. Therefore, it was his recommendation that her own background be looked into beyond the fact that she was “eye candy” and had a brain.
Further checks should be made on who she associated with before each incident – See “Kind Eyes” and sleeping with ball carriers before they died. Who recommended BOTH ball carriers to use that particular dry cleaners should be looked into as well. Added too how did this terrorist know how to get himself into a military instillation to get what he wanted then to get out? Who was his inside person?
Who was the inside person of the terrorist that tried to kill the President under her watch? A watch that allowed him to get close by not separating him or the civilians from the President after the ball carrier’s death by unknown means and thus a threat to the President?
Too much coincidence must be looked into at this point when two terrorists have one person in common. And at both times allowed them to get close to their objective by their actions.
He finished up his report and sent it up the chain of command to Morrow, SecNav Davenport, SecDef O’Neill, the head of the terrorist desk at NCIS and Homeland as terrorism is their Bailiwick, and the desk of Agent of Malfeasance at the Office of the Inspector General.
Printed out a copy for his own personal folder on Kate as SFAC that he signed and dated then filed.
Shut down his computer and shut off his light after gathering his jacket, badge, pack, and gun. He had promised everyone waiting at the hospital he would bring dinner, so he headed out of the office and down the elevator knowing that no matter what happened, nothing would ever be the same again in the little office family.
