The Murakami’s
The Murakami family runs a warehouse/storefront that primarily operates out of Nagaoka City in the Niigata Prefecture, they specialize in selling grains and starches but are also known for the quality and affordability of their fruits, vegetables, eggs and dairy. They sell most of their produce in bulk but on weekends they sell smaller portions in their storefront.
Their farm is located in Teradomori and while majority of the family resides there to tend the farm the Murakami parents live in central Nagaoka City to keep the storefront running. It is also stated in Chapter 3 that the eldest Murakami child, Warabi moved to Tokyo.
Though Izuku claims the work he does for the Murakami family isn’t a job (“Just think of it as a monetized volunteer service.”), they truly are the first people he meaningfully earns money from and the first people aside from his mom to believe in him and encourage him.
Toshie Murakami | Female | Age 51
Known most commonly as Goro-san (by Izuku) and Mom (by Warabi, Katsumi, Kuremi, Kone, Sachiko, and Shigetto) Toshie Murakami is one of the side characters in the Boku no Hero Academia Fanfiction, Bitch Better Have My Money. She is the mother of Warabi, Katsumi, Kuremi, Kone, Sachiko, and Shigetto and the wife of Goro.
Appearance | Murakami Toshie is described as a short woman standing at about 152 cm or 4"9 and is rather thin in stature. She has black hair that is cut into a short bob, brown eyes, and pale skin. Despite being being 51, she has barely been impacted by her aging and could pass as a woman of 25.
Personality | Toshie's grace and beauty can make her seem untouchable at times, but she is a kind and generous woman. Though she can be strict with her children on occasion (to the point where Katsumi was fearful of disappointing her), it is out of concern for their best interests. Though she loves her family and prioritizes them above all else, she also cares about how other people may be impacted by the actions of her family and is not afraid to hold them accountable if she deems something to be unacceptable.
Toshie is dedicated to her families business and manages the communications, logistics, and financial aspects of their warehouse and store, she is the first face you'll see when you enter the Murakami's shop. She does not assist in the physically laborious aspects of her families business due arthritis that was caused by quirk overuse when she was younger, too much physical activity can cause painful flare-ups (as seen in Chapter 3 when Goro massages her hands after a week of baking).
Toshie loves teaching others and passing on any knowledge that she has. She becomes joyful and energetic and can sometimes get carried away when doing something she feels passionate about something, like baking.
Toshie is a renown baker, she went to bakery school where she formally learned the art of making breads, pastries, and desserts. This is where she met Goro whose family supplied the culinary institution with ingredients. The shopfront was originally built as a patisserie for her until her arthritis became too severe and she had to retire from being a baker. On occasion, Toshie will make some breads and simple sweets
Quirk, pH | Toshie can affect the acidity and basicity of things surrounding her. However, if she wants to increase the acidity or basicity on an object by more than 2.5 she has to physically touch it. Overuse of the her quirk can cause arthritis flare-ups.
Goro Murakami | Male | Age 53
Goro Murakami is one of the side characters in the Boku no Hero Academia Fanfiction, Bitch Better Have My Money. He is the father of Warabi, Katsumi, Kuremi, Kone, Sachiko, and Shigetto and the husband of Toshie.
Appearance | Murakami Goro is described a tall and muscular man. His skin is dark and leathered from years spent working in the fields and under the hot sun, this gives him a very serious and intimidating expression. Initially, Midoriya Izuku was terrified upon meeting Goro, thinking of him as Japanese Thor or a Kumicho (yakuza boss), and even Katsumi admitted that her dad looked very intimidating. But he quickly warmed up to him upon realizing that he is a sweet man.
Personality | Goro may initially appear to be severe, unfriendly, and intimidating, but in reality he is a kind-hearted man.
A very diligent and earnest worker, Goro believes that hard work will always pay off. This does mean that he often overextends himself and overuses his quirk at work. He is frequently made to rest by his wife and children in such circumstances. He primarily works
He is incredibly loyal and would do anything for his family and close friends. Though initially reserved, once he warms up to you he becomes very boisterous and is often described as “the life of the party”.
Quirk, Calculate | Goro can calculate the mass, length, volume, or area of anything. He can only focus on one calculation at a time and the results he gets are largely dependent on pre-existing data. If he overuses his quirk and runs too many calculations in too short a time period he will get a massive migraine.
Katsumi Murakami | Female | Age 27
Known most commonly as Murakami-kun (by Izuku) and Katsu-chan (by her father). Katsumi is one of the side characters in the Boku no Hero Academia Fanfiction, Bitch Better Have My Money.
Personality | Murakami Katsumi is described to be slightly above average for a Japanese woman's height. She is has a thin build like her mother, though years of physical labour and farming has build muscle on her. Her skinned is lightly tanned from so much time spent in the sun.
Personality | Katsumi is a very kind and genuine young woman. She despises inconveniencing others and would sooner inconvenience herself rather than tax on someone elseʻs time. For the most part she is a very assertive and confident person, though when caught off guard she will begin to doubt herself and will occasionally be overcome with anxiety.
She doesn't typically concern herself with what others think but if she knows her actions will reflect on her family then she proceeds with caution.
Quirk, Measure | Katsumi can measure anything by looking at it. It works with size and weight, though she has to be touching the object to measure how much it weighs. If something is over 500 meters in length and width or 500 kilograms she will get a headache.
