t was early in the morning, you hadn’t intended to wake up that early.
5:00am.
Jesus.
Eddie and Volt were fast asleep beside you and your brain just wouldn’t let you wake up. You kiss volts cheek and he opens his eyes slowly, his face looks so soft.
“Mmm…why are you awake love? S’o early.” Volt asks voice rough with sleep.
“Dunno, brain woke me up I guess.” You say “s’ alright jus’ try to fall back asleep don’ wanna wake up Eddie now do we?”
You smile, you always loved when volt was really sleepy, it was a side of him you never really saw because he was never tired. He reaches over to your waist and pulls you close to his chest. He kisses your cheek. Eddie moves and reaches, he makes slight noises of annoyance that you’re not near and scooches to you.
“Spark, why’s you up so early?” Eddie mumbles. “Woke up early is all. Didn’t want to but I did? Could you both possibly help me sleep. I’ve been feeling a bit down today, well yesterday now.” Volt runs his fingers through your hair “of course live wire. We’ve got you, jus’ fall asleep in my arms. Ed’s can you rub their back?”
“Course’ I can.” Eddie happily starts massaging you, albeit more or less lazy do the sleep but he’s doing his best.
You love your boys no matter what. Mornings like this always made your heart flutter and their unconditional love made you feel a bit unworthy of it but they always told you that you were worthy.
“Now, will you fall asleep again pup? It’s too early for our puppy to be awake.” Volt chides. You nod and drift to sleep as your boys take care of you.
