Work Text:
It was late one evening. It was raining in fish town. Sanguine was happy (for now). Dolan and Belle call Sanguine over.
"Look Sanguine, I know you've been here for a while, but..." Dolan trails off, clearly struggling to find the words.
"We fucking hate you," Belle chimes in "you do nothing but eat and shit."
"Blub." Sanguine says, looking almost distraught, struggling to keep his fishy eyes from shedding tears.
"Since you clearly have nothing to say for yourself, you have got to leave." Belle raises her voice. "You could at the very least get a job!"
"Blub." Sanguine retorts, with a smug face.
"I know neither of us have jobs, but you don't even remember our birthdays." Dolan says in a stern voice.
"Blub." Sanguine, with a look of desperation in his eyes.
"Leave the house now," Belle says, screaming at the top of her lungs "don't make me make you." Sanguine struggles to process what he has just been told. He waddles away, and when he finally got far enough, he cried, sobbed, and wailed, knowing deep in his heart that he will never know peace again.
