Work Text:
i don't know mine yet.
is it bad that i don't?
the girl across the street fumes with the shade of rotting life.
your coworker sees not red, but the concealed tone of deeply seated sorrow.
sickly green jealousy fills the lesser siblings heart when his brother gets acknowledged over him once again.
the young man who always jogs past with a smile sees the color of his dads beer-stained shirt.
furious yet empty darkness is seated in the despondent patients mind when they think of never being able to leave the hospital.
the shining of a silver blade flashes before the high-school students eyes when fury drives them to reconsider old habits.
familiar splotching of purple bruises stare back at the mother who lost her temper once again.
hues of classic red cross your best friends gaze when they've been lied to however you can practically see the betrayal underneath.
a guilty, loathing blue covers an insomniacs soul when they look back on the times they snapped at good people.
i wonder about you though.
sometimes i wish i knew what you saw.
other times, i'm too scared to learn.
