Maggie never would have thought she’d ever consider Negan to be someone close to her, let alone be jealous that someone else was the focus of his attention. Yet, he had become her partner and here she was currently watching enviously as someone other than her flirted with him. From where Maggie sat at the bar counter, she watched Negan sitting at one of the tables as he laughed at the jokes this person made, the way they were eyeing him up & down, and the brief touches Negan & the person shared.
Maggie silently seethed as this charming stranger seemed to captivate Negan. Negan had told her about his past with his first wife Lucille, how he had been unfaithful to her despite how much he loved her; this fact alone made worry pool in Maggie’s stomach. She knows Negan has tried to change his worst habits but she can’t help but wonder if this was one he’d be willing to go back to. Just the thought of someone else taking him from her and Negan daring to betray her was enough to make Maggie see red; he was hers and no one else’s. She was going to put a stop to this sabotage.
Maggie got up from where she sat and walked over to the pair. Negan instantly looked up at her and smiled.
“Hey, Miss Maggie, why don’t you join us?” he said cheerfully. But Maggie had no intention of doing so.
“Negan, I need your help with something,” Maggie said. She didn’t actually need anything, she just needed an excuse to get him away from the seducer.
“Well, can it wait? I’m having a good ol’ time with my new pal here and-”
“No,” Maggie interrupted him. “It can’t. Please Negan, I need you,” Maggie said sweetly and gave her best pleading look, knowing that Negan could never resist giving in when she needed him and looked at him like that.
Negan let out a small sigh before standing from his seat. “Alright, sorry darling, duty calls,” Negan told the stranger.
“That’s alright honey, we can continue this later,” the person said flirtily and winked at Negan, which caused Maggie’s annoyance to spike further and to glare at them.
Maggie quickly grabbed Negan by his wrist and began pulling him towards the exit of the bar, her sudden aggression startling Negan. Once outside, she guided him to the alley beside the establishment. She let go of his wrist and put her hands on his chest, pushing him until his back was against the wall.
“What in the wor-” Negan began to exclaim but was interrupted as Maggie leaned in and pressed her lips against his. Negan was confused by her behavior but he returned the intense kiss. After a few seconds, Maggie pulled away from his lips to place her lips on his neck instead.
“I’m not complaining but what’s gotten into you?” Negan asked as Maggie peppered kisses along his neck.
“You’re mine,” Maggie stated in between kisses. For a brief moment, Negan was confused about what she meant before it clicked in his brain what was going on.
“Ohhh, is that what this is about? I never took you to be the jealous type,” Negan said and then chuckled, which then turned into a groan as Maggie firmly latched her lips to one spot on his neck and began sucking, claiming him.
Maggie pulled her head away from his neck to look at him. She admired the mark that she had given him, a symbol that he belonged to her. She then looked intensely into his eyes.
“You’re mine,” she repeated, emphasizing it even further.
Negan stayed silent for a moment, looking at her in awe. He didn’t know what he did to deserve this amazing woman obsessing over him but he thanked whatever higher being was looking out for him.
“I’m yours,” Negan finally said happily, which made Maggie smile and reassured about what she, and Negan, instinctively knew: Negan was Maggie’s and neither of them would have it any other way.
