I Don’t know you anymore [FRUK]

Summary:

“…are you implying something?” France replied, a little cold. Sometimes it felt like her moods could switch on a dime or like everything she did was an act and Britain was the audience.

Chapter 1: Prologue: Kissing in the Louve

Chapter Text

France gave kisses to both of UK’s cheeks. “Ah, Ma Cher.” She smirked as she spoke.

Britain blushed and laughed, she pulled off the glove on France’s left hand and kissed it. “There, we’re even.” Now France was the one blushing.

“My, My.” She didn’t say anything more, France was memorised by her girlfriend. Oh how the two had changed, they were nothing like the girls they’d been when they first met. Whether that was for the best or the worst, UK wasn’t sure.

Britain turned back around, still giggling like a little kid and looked at the painting infront of the two. The Mona Lisa, it was only a couple feet in front of them. She has always loved the painting, but it was a horror to try and see it when the Louve was open. The “line” (it was more of a clump,) filled up the entire room, everyone was shoulder to shoulder and you didn’t even get that close. During a conversation, UK complained about it to France and her wonderful girlfriend got them in while it was closed. There weren’t even guards, France was the personification of France-they trusted her. “It’s absolutely beautiful.” She stated.

“Just like you.” France replied, smiling as she looked at the painting that she’d seen hundreds of time.

“Well-she really looks more like you than me.” The blonde woman pointed out before continuing, “She has dark hair, a lovely face although you don’t really know what she is really thinking or feeling.”

“…are you implying something?” France replied, a little cold. Sometimes it felt like her moods could switch on a dime or like everything she did was an act and Britain was the audience.

UK sighed, and rested her head on the French woman’s shoulder. Standing for long times made her feel tired, but she didn’t want to sit down quite yet. “You know.”

“Oui.” France didn’t say anything more and face Britain. Maybe one day she would be honest with UK. Until that day, Britain would be patient.
She would have to be patient. Part of love was waiting, right?
