Work Text:

“Dean, I told you to be careful.”

Sam paced the room.

“You know better! What were you thinking? How could you let it get this bad?”

He turned and glared at Dean, gesturing at him and his situation.

“I fell asleep!” Dean gritted out, in his own defense.

“We brought everything that we needed to prevent it and somehow, you still ended up like this.”

He continued to pace the room.

What are you gonna do now? You can't even move! You'll be useless for at least another day. Maybe two!

Cas returned, carrying a small bottle.

“Do you want to get skin cancer?” Sam said, sarcastically.

Dean cast him an annoyed look without moving his head. He lay on his back, wearing only pants, arms at his side.

He was as red as a lobster from his waistband up.

Dean winced as Cas sat down on the bed beside him, removing the cap to the bright green liquid.

He turned to Sam, “Sam, I could just heal him and he wouldn't have to go through this. It's very trivial.”

“Are you kidding me? No way. He got himself into this through sheer dumbassery, and now he gets to suffer the consequences.” Sam glared at Dean, mock anger on his face.

Cas turned back to Dean, “I'm sorry, I tried.” He said, matter of factly before squeezing the goo onto his left hand and gently pressing it to Dean's skin.

Dean made obscene noises as the cold gel soothed his severe sunburn, being careful not to move. Just smiling made his face hurt.

Cas had finished his stomach and moved up to his chest and Dean made a squealing noise as a hand passed the soothing gloop over his nipple.

Sam laughed out loud as Dean's eyes crossed as Cas grazed his other nipple.

“One day! One day at the beach and you can't even emote.” Sam cackled.

Dean growled.

“Dean, I offered to put lotion on you several times and you refused. Why?” Cas inquired, looking genuinely puzzled.

“Yeah, you know that personal space thing we always talk about? That's why.”

“Yes, but I fail to see how putting aloe vera on you now is any different than putting lotion on you. Would prevention not be a more prudent course of action?”

Sam doubled over laughing.

“He's got you there, Dean.” He wheezed between fits.

Dean growled again. “Dammit, Cas. Just rub, don't talk.”
