When Eli chased after Trixie with pronto and Kord he was initially confused and worried as to why she suddenly ran off but when he heard it was in the hunt for the elusive Enigmo slug he became quickly became excited at the prospect of finding a new slug. Though he never would have imagined it would lead him staring down Gerhard Stocker famous slug hunter.
Stocker slug hounds growled at them getting ready to chase as Stocker raised his blaster arachnet slug at the ready. Eli loaded his blaster with the enigmo slug aiming his blaster back at Stocker. Unlike a regular blaster Stockers resembled more of a crossbow attached to his wrist with a mechanism that allowed for multiple slug shells full of slugs that would automatically reload by rotating to the next slug shell. He didn’t know what the enigmo slug did when it transformed but he always believed on learning on the go.
Both blasters fire at once the arachnid slug spinning a web sending the enigmo start back at Eli. 'This is gonna hurt.' Eli braised himself to be hit and the force from the slug sent him tumbling towards the ground causing his head to bounce against the floor and his head started spinning.
“Dude are you okay, we saw you get hit by the enigmo.” Kord yelled out
“Speaking of which you gotta tell us what it does.” Trixie beamed
It was hard to pay attention to his surroundings as his head spun
”Me … I’m fine” Eli whined “I feel like a million bucks” he stated
“Bro you were just hit by a slug. A slug that’s deemed to be a legend. Nobody has ever seen one transform we have no idea what side effects you may have.” Kord challenged
“Guys I’m fine everything’s just a bit blurry from when I hit my head but we have to go after Stocker he has the Enigmo.” Eli denied
Kord, Trixie and Pronto looked at him with concern as he got up and started walking
Trixie tried to convince him to stop "Eli we should take a break you can't see straight."
"My vision will come back whilst we go after the enigmo." He stated as he walked leaving the rest of the Shame gang to follow reluctantly.
Eli didn't know why he was leading the way he couldn't exactly tell what was real and what was his double vision however he wasn't going to make his complaints known less he give the rest of the gang more examples of how bad the effects of being hit by a slug are. He wasn't going to take a break the emigmo needed him.
That's when he noticed how quite it had gotten. And Trixie's whispers of "Eli. Eli come back." Then the sudden growling and he froze. He could feel a breeze as something ran past him and hear the stomping of paws and growling of slug hounds.
Then the screams of his friends as they where chased away.
"You just don't know when to quit do you."
"Stocker." Eli hissed out
Stocker whistled then the slug hounds came running back.
"Come one Burpy we just have to show them that we're not afraid." Eli murmured Stocker was a lot less intimidating when he was swaying back and forth and Eli’s head was throbbing. Eli fumbled aroundstruggled to place the slug shell Burpy was inside into his blaster. "It would be easier if I wasn't so scared." However because everything was moving and he couldn’t see what he was doing he was still terrified. Then he shot his blaster and Burpy created a firewall to cover their escape as Spinner used their web's to send the flying up a tree putting space in between him and Stocker when he heard the slug hounds barking again.
"It's a good thing dogs can't climb trees." he said in relief which soon turned into terror as he noticed they were getting closer. "Tho it seems like slug hounds can. Chiller, Spinner I need you."
His blaster went off and Chiller created an ice bridge, then he shot out Spinner who attached themself to the back of Chiller before sending a web to the front of Eli's blaster. They went flying across the ice like a roller coaster Eli had been on during his time on the surface until the Stocker shot a rammstone that broke the bridge separating Eli from Chiller. Spinner jumped off Chiller latching onto a the top of a tree subsequently saving Eli with their quick thinking. Eli was swinging in the air holding onto his blaster like a zip line when Stocker shot a Thresher slicing the web attached to Eli’s blaster and the floor was rapidly approaching. He landed on several giant leaves attached to the trees bouncing between them slowing his descent and breaking fall.
Eli lay on the ground in pain reaching for his blaster “Burpy, guys, anybody.” He called out watching blurred versions of his slugs hop away before seeing a shadow on the ground next to him and looking up to see Stocker “No friends no slugs can’t you see it’s time to quit.” Stocker inquired kicking away his blaster and Eli pushed himself off the ground so he could stand eye to eye with Stocker.
“No. I can’t see much of anything lately. That slug may just be a lot of gold to you but it’s worth a whole lot more to me so as long as I can stand I’m not giving up.” He protested
Stocker aimed his blaster ready to shoot another Thresher at Eli however what came out was the enigmo that hit Eli sending him tumbling to grow ground again leaving Stocker stood still in stunned confusion.
“I can see!” Eli exclaimed before looking up to see Stocker’s blaster aiming straight at him “maybe a bit to much.”
Eli dives out the way grabbing his blaster then starts running towards the enigmo like Stocker when Stocker tries to fire at him again. Eli goes to shoot a slug to block it but he’s out of slugs. Suddenly Stockers arm catches fire.
“Burpy!” Eli shouts with excitement as he rushed to pick up the enigmo resting it on his shoulder. Burpy leapt over towards Eli landing on his wrist before jumping into Eli’s blaster which he aimed towards Stocker.
“You may have traps hidden all over this cavern but I have the best secret weapon in all of Slugterra. You ready Burpy.” He remarked and Burpy warbled in agreement flying towards Stocker who goes stumping back to avoid the infurnus causing him to fall into his own trap.
“Let’s get out of here Burpy and find our freinds. " Eli stated as he starts walking off in the direction they ran off in with Burpy on his shoulder and the enigmo in is hand. He looked down at the enigmo laughing "so it was you who messed up my vision. I though you gave me a concussion can only be thrown around by slugs so many times you know. Though in hindsight running after Stocker with a concussion wouldn't have been a good idea."
