Chapter Text
Fenix was just an ordinary human being, one day she decided to go out for a walk and get some fresh air. Little did she know that soon was going to be the last time she would ever be human again..
While one her walk, a strange car drove by but then slowed down when it got to when she was, the car followed behind Fenix and she realized it then moment she looked behind her. Fenix felt very uneasy about the sudden car showing up and following behind her, so she stopped walking in her tracks and hoped that the car would drive away. Unfortunately that was not the case, after Fenix had stopped walking, the car stopped on the side of the road and the doors of the car suddenly opened, a total of five people came out of the car but for some reason they were all dressed up like they were about to rob a bank. Fenix immediately knew who these people were based off their eyes and body type, they were her friends from an old friend group but fell out due to a conflict that happened between a very close friend of hers. “Why are all of you here?” said Fenix, she knew that something bad was going on happen but she didn’t know when.
“We’re here to make your life a living hell, and to remind you why you should have stayed in the friend group instead of making a new one and abandoning us” said one of the people that was in the group of five. After that was said, they pulled out a pocket knife while the others pulled out other things that would be found at a murder scene. Fenix knew that she had to fight for her life now, she let out a sigh before she put her hands up in defense. “You know.. I left that friend group for a reason, and now you’re proving my point not to come back.” replied Fenix, she was a little right though, her ex-friend threatening to kill her just because she left them is probably a good reason why she doesn’t want to be around them anymore. Though after she had said that, one of the people within the group suddenly lunged at her and managed to break skin due to her not moving fast enough
The group of five continued to swing and slash at Fenix, she managed to dodge a few swings but others managed to hit her. Stamina management was not really Fenix’s strong suit but she did manage to disarm one person out of the five, now Fenix had a weapon to help defend herself with but the odds were still not in her favor. It was still a one versus five and unfortunately today was just not her lucky day, now Fenix is on the ground with many stab wounds all on her body while the group of five stood over her. Fenix couldn’t see the lower parts of their faces but she knew that they were grinning like they had just finished a mission that went on for too long under the masks they all had on. “See what happens when you cross lines with us, Fenix?” One of them asked, their voice was like honey but there was venom dripping from their tone as they spoke to her. “You end up getting hurt or even killed when you don’t listen to what’s good for you.” Another one added as they kicked her bleeding body, causing her to wince harshly when the pain shot throughout her body.
“I hope all of you rot in hell for this…” Fenix managed to spit out that was shortly followed up by a strained wheeze. That comment earned her another harsh kick to her body on the other side, causing her to cough up some blood, Fenix could feel her body getting weaker due to the amount of blood that she was losing, with the last bit of energy and strength she managed to slur out one last sentence. “I hope all of you realize what you’ve done to me and your sins haunt you soon.” She slurred before her head dropped onto the ground, a quick and sharp pain shot through her head as she stared up at the sky. Fenix never thought that today would be the day she died but here she was lying on the ground bleeding out and there was no one else around to help, she was a little saddened because she couldn’t say goodbye to her family and friends which probably didn’t even know she’d been jumped, stabbed, and beaten. As she laid on the ground, she thought about her very close and dear online friends that she saw as family, even they had no idea that she was killed causing her to shed a few tears before her consciousness had slipped from her grasp.
One heartbeat…
Then another…
A third came along too…
Suddenly Fenix had jolted awake but for some odd reason all that surrounded her was just a dark void looking place…
[Where am I?…] Fenix thought as she looked around the dark void, then she suddenly realized that she was alive? again somehow-
“That was just sad, darling!” said a disembodied voice that seemed to communicate with Fenix within her mind
[Who are you?!] thought a seemingly distressed Fenix, she had no idea how this disembodied voice was communicating with her
“Don’t worry your pretty little head about that, dear! For now just call me [LAUGHTER]!” said the disembodied voice, so now Fenix knows that this disembodied voice would like to be call [LAUGHTER].
[Ooookay… so you just saw my death, yes?] Fenix questioned, she had no idea that this being? had watched her die
”Of course I did silly! I must say, it was kind of sad to see someone like you meet their tragic end but fret not about that! We have decided to give you a second chance at a new life, and before you ask.. No, you will not stay the same age. Your age will have ten more years added onto it to help you blend in more with the world you will be transplanted into.” Said the disembodied voice, Fenix was slightly intrigued at what the voice meant by “given a second chance at a new life”.
[What?- Are you planning to send me into the Inpherno or something?] Fenix asked jokingly.
“Yes actually! But your identity will be entirely changed to avoid any suspicion from the Inphernals” said [LAUGHTER] causing Fenix’s face to switch to a shocked expression
[You’re joking.. right?-] Fenix questioned, she was a bit shocked to know that she was going to be transported to a game that she was very hyperfixated on
“If we were joking, your soul would have already gone to heaven or whatever you believe in already, silly goose!” Said [LAUGHTER]
[Oh my- So what will be my new identity and what faction will I be spawned from?] Fenix asked, she was genuinely curious about how she’d look in the world of PHIGHTING!
“You will now go by Bombo’s Bow and Arrow or just Bow and Arrow, you will also be from Lost Temple” Said [LAUGHTER], Fenix was genuinely interested at this information that she received
[Baller dude, so when will I be thrown into the world of the Inpherno?] Fenix asked, she had no clue that it was going to be very soon
”In about 2-3 seconds” replied [LAUGHTER]
[Wait what? ACK—] Fenix said before she felt her soul being pulled with an intense amount of force
