Izumi sighed softly as she made her way through the party she had been dragged to by Uraraka. It was supposed to be their first date, but Urakaka had spotted some friends and wanted to go say hi, leaving Izumi alone. Izumi had tried to find Uraraka for the past 10 minutes but couldn't; this party was huge and the music loud.
Izumi made her way through the crowd, and there in the back corner she spotted someone she didn't expect to see here. She quickly made her way over, feeling a bit less tense at a familiar face.
“Tamaki-senpai!” Izumi called as she made her way over to him quickly.
Tamaki looked over shyly at the call of his name and visibly relaxed when he saw Izumi. He gives her a shy wave and smiles. Izumi beams at him as she gets next to him.
“What brings you here?” She asked the upperclassman, her head tilted.
“I was dragged here by Mirio, and Nejire…” He responds softly, just barely loud enough for her to hear over the music. “What about you?” Tamaki asked softly, looking down at her.
“Uraraka dragged me here on a date… even after I told her I didn't want to have a date here… then she saw some friends and left me alone to say hi… I haven't been able to find her since.” Izumi admitted as she ran a hand through her hair.
Tamaki nodded slowly, looking around the party, before looking back at her. “We could… leave? I… know a quiet cafe not too far from here.” Tamaki offered hesitantly.
“I like that!” Izumi spoke without hesitation. Was it meant to abandon a date? Yes, but technically she was abandoned first, and if Uraraka asked where Izumi had gone, she would apologize to Uraraka tomorrow.
Tamaki flushed slightly and shyly and quickly led Izumi out of the party. Izumi followed him quickly, having to run a bit to keep up with his walking pace. Sure, he was walking slowly, but he had long legs.

At the cafe, the 2 sat across from each other. There was soft music playing quietly in the background behind the counter. Tamaki had paid for both of them to have something to eat and drink as they sat and talked at one of the tables.
Izumi found herself enjoying his company more than she ever imagined, and from what she could tell, he too was enjoying this as well. They talked about anything and everything, from favorite color to least favorite song.
Before the two had known it, a few hours had passed. Tamaki had shyly insisted on walking her back to the dorms. Izumi had flushed softly and agreed to let him walk her back.

Izumi shivered due to the cold; she felt something warm drop around her shoulders. She blinked and showed Tamaki's sweater-jacket he had been wearing on her shoulders now. She felt herself blush a pretty pink as she looked up at Tamaki, who was walking next to her, through her lashes shyly.
“Thank you… but you don't have to… you could get sick.” Izumi said softly, even as she pulled the jacket tighter to her. It smelled like him, and he smelled quite nice, like ocean water, warm sunny days, and something just… him.
“I… I don't mind,” Tamaki responded, rubbing the back of his neck as he looked away shyly. "I'd rather get cold and sick than you.” He admitted quietly in a mumble she could barely hear.
Izumi's heart gave a flutter. “Thank you,” she said softly, at a loss for words.
Tamaki just nodded his head, not looking at her. They walked in comfortable silence till they reached the dorm. Izumi posed at the door and turned to face him.
“I had a lot of fun with you tonight.” Izumi said softly that Tamaki has a shy smile.
“A-As did I… perhaps… we could do it again some time?” He asked shyly and hesitantly, not really looking at her, his pointed ears turning a soft pink.
“I love that! Why not this Saturday?” Izumi brightened with a slight bounce where she stood.
“I… I like that… I'll pick you up at 8?” Tamaki suggested a time and Izumi nodes.
“That works perfectly! Any ideas as to where we could go?” She responded, leaning forward a bit.
“There… is a festival downtown… during that time…” He responded, looking at her with a soft blush and smile.
“That's perfect! I heard of it! I've never gone to it, and I love to go!” Izumi nodded happily, and Tamaki relaxed as he took in her happy smile.
“I… I'll see you then…” He said softly, “G-goodnight, Izumi,” Tamaki added softly.
“Goodnight, Tamaki-senpai!” Izumi said before, without thinking, she leaned forward on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek. “I'll see you then!” She added before bouncing into the dorms, closing the door behind her, leaving behind a stunned Tamaki.
Tamaki lightly touched his cheek, flushing a bright red, but he couldn't stop his pleased smile even if he tried.
Once inside the dorm, Izumi skipped her way to her bedroom. She opened her bedroom door and closed and locked it behind her. She then spun and leaned on her back in bed with a soft, almost goofy smile. When her eyes widened in realization.
“Did… I just had a date with Tamaki-sinpei!? and make plans and agree to go on a date!?” Izumi gasped out loud as she set up.
Her face was a bright red, but she didn't stop beaming with a smile. Well, it hadn't been her intention… she didn't mind.
