Night Ninja took a shacky breath. All the ninjalinos had finally fallen asleep. It was a miracle, given what had happened.
God, Romeo could burn in hell for all they cared. In fact, they would prefer it if he did, after what had happened to the poor children. How could he be so cruel?
Sure, Night Ninja themself had done some not so legal things, but they would never do anything to harm the ninjalinos. They were evil, but not that kind of evil.
They stared at the ceiling of the old, abandoned warehouse they and the ninjalinos called home. They needed to get out, distract themself.
The ninja swapped their pyjamas that they had stolen for their ninja suit and wore their mask, smoke bombing away.

They arrived outside Luna’s house, which wasn't that much of a house. It was a small tunnel underneath a cliff that led to a furnished cave with just enough to survive.
“Night Ninja.” The moon girl acknowledged.
“Luna.” The ninja nodded. They held up some playing cards. “Ready to loose?”
~~~
The two villains wouldn't say they were friends. When they worked together, they were much more like reluctant coworkers, going along with whatever plan Romeo had come up with.
But sometimes, they simply ignored their stances and did stuff together. Neither of them minded the other’s company, and the nights could get lonely.
They sat down on Luna’s rug and distributed some playing cards.
The duo would always play Dai Di (AN: I think it's called Big Two in english.) The game was centred around shedding all your cards, but you could only play a card higher than the one placed beforehand.
Two was the biggest number, making three the smallest. The suits also had a smallest to largest order, going from diamond, clubs, hearts, and spades.
Luna girl went first, then Night Ninja. They didn't talk much, preferring to let Luna yap about whatever she wanted.
Night Ninja was still on edge after what had happened. They bit their lip. What if Luna did the same? What if she took the ninjalinos and what happened today repeated? The ninjalinos were shaken after what had happened, and the panic they had felt when the ninjalinos disappeared one by one was not a good experience.
“Hey, Night! It's your turn.” Luna gestured to the seven of spades she had placed down.
“Luna,” Night Ninja said. “You wouldn't kidnap my ninjalinos one by one and try to suck out their power to open a portal to another realm, would you?” They didn't know what they would do if she said yes.
Luna frowned. “What did Romeo do this time?”
“He… wanted to open the sky portal to Mystery Mountain, and used the ninjalinos power to do so.” Night Ninja said. “He USED the ninjalinos! Had them trapped in a cell! I wouldn't even bat an eye if he used me, but he went for the children, that son of a bitch!”
Night Ninja put down the highest card in the game, two of spades, and placed a five card combination, getting rid of all their cards.
Luna was shocked, both at Night Ninja’s cards and their outburst. “It does seem in character for him. And he shouldn't have targeted the children. That's the easy way out, who does that?” Luna comforted them in the way she knew how.
“Glad you feel the same.” Night Ninja said.
“Trust me, if I had to kidnap someone, you bet it’ll be the PJ pests. Your Ninjalinos would be the last thing that comes to mind.”
