“You, young man, you’re going straight home.”
Adric was never sure if the Doctor had truly meant it, but the promised ride home, back to the Starliner, did not materialise. He begged; he pleaded. Romana even put in a good word or two. Then, an hour of arguing ended with another E-Space anomaly, and the Doctor simply… forgot.
That was it.
There he was, travelling in the wondrous blue box, with two Time Lords and a robot dog.
It seemed none of them wanted to go home, and so they made their own little family, just as they were.
