"Coco is keeping a secret from us."
The gossip is traded, along with a bowl of soup, across the kitchen table and into Olruggio's waiting hands.
"Not something that needs my Watchful Eye's involvement," Qifrey continues, sweeping fresh water into the sink as he returns to the washing up. "But it's sweet to see her try and hide it."
"Good that's she's acting like a kid." Olruggio drags his spoon against the side of the bowl to see Qifrey twitch. "It's for you, you know."
Qifrey catches his gaze in the reflection. "Keeping secrets from me, Olly?"
"Just a few."
