Work Text:
In every life I live, must I lose you?
Must I face a tomorrow that has erased you?
You are illuminated by shadow, by
deceitful stars, obscured in the light.
Gone with the ashes of yesterday, you have
departed from the story.
Shackled by the grief of what can never
return, I alone remain.
I will love you always; a steadfast promise
painted in pain.
I will cry for you always; a lifetime to
remember, an eternity to dream.
The canvas of our history, stained by our blood
and strife, lies torn and interrupted.
In every life I live, must you leave me?
Must I yearn for the past that still holds you?
You are blurred by time, by endless regrets,
forever haunting my memory.
Here with the embers of despair, I repeat this
tale of sorrow.
Shackled by my love of what can never return,
I alone remain.
