Summary:

little drabble about blitzo dealing with DID and dissocation but he doesn't know he has it. (written by a DID system btw)
prompts: dissociative identity disorder and found family

Work Text:

Blitzo didn't think he'd ever get to have this. When he was young, he used to dream of a day where he'd have a happy family that loved him and each other. Of course, his younger self had never considered that they'd get it this way.

They weren't perfect. Him and Stolas still pushed each other away sometimes, and Loona still put up walls every now and then.

But they had gotten better.

Stolas had gotten more patient with Blitzo, especially during the episodes where he'd be there physically, but somewhere else in his head.

Loona had gotten better at explaining what he missed or what he'd done during those strange gaps in his memories.

Blitzo had never really acknowledged any of those things happening before. But Stolas noticed a lot of things he didn't, even when they were happening to Blitzo's own mind.

"Darling?" Stolas says softly, waiting for Blitzo to "come back". Blitzo wasn't often aware when he left.

Blitzo blinks, readjusting himself. "Ah, shit. It happened again?" Blitzo grunts.

Stolas nods. "A bit shorter this time."

"Were you really here the whole time?" Blitzo asks.

"Of course I was. I wouldn't leave you alone, not during a moment like that." Stolas reassures him gently.
