~ Remus' POV ~
Remus pulls up to his family's pet store Full Moon Pets. He is working the opening shift today. Remus has been helping at the store since he was in middle school, and he still helps to this day. He has always liked working the morning shift, because it is usually the calmest part of the day.
Today was Remus' first day back at the shop in quite a few months. Ever since he graduated high school he only helps in the summer. He just graduated college last week and he has the summer free. Then in the fall he is off to veterinary school. Remus has wanted to be a veterinarian ever since he was a little kid. He has always loved animals.
The store is pretty calm and quiet so Remus decides to use the time to try and stock some of the merchandise. Remus is busy in the back going over inventory when he hears the bell above the door ring. He puts down the clipboard. “I’ll be right there.” He calls from the back as he heads to the front.
When Remus walks out front to the counter he sees a gorgeous guy standing there. He had black hair that was pulled into a messy bun on the top of his head, and he was fairly tall. He is wearing tight black jeans and boots with a leather jacket. Remus notices he has grey eyes. As well as a nose ring, lip ring, and eyebrow ring, and tattoos across his knuckles. Remus feels his throat go dry and he wonders if he is dreaming, because this guy is literally his fantasy.
“Good morning. How may I help you?” Remus says.
The guy doesn't say anything at first. He just kind of looks at Remus. Remus gives him a look and the guy blushes a bit. “I’m going to be getting a dog and I want help in getting all the supplies I would need for him.” He says
“What kind of dog are you getting?” Remus says.
The guy fumbles for his phone and says, “I don't remember what kind my friend told me. He is the one that found it for me.” He turns his phone to show Remus a picture of a black dog. Remus recognizes it immediately as a german shepherd.
“Aww he is cute. You don't see many all black german shepherds. Have you picked a name yet?”
“Yeah, his name is Snuffles.” The guy says.
“That is a cute name. If you follow me I will show you what all you will need for a dog.” Remus says.
Remus grabs a cart and leads the guy to the aisle first where they have the leashes and collars. “You will need a collar for him off course and a leash, and I usually recommend a harness for walking dogs. It isn't as easy to slip as a collar, and it doesn't put unnecessary pressure on their necks.”
After the guy picks what he wants from there Remus leads him to where the bowls and dog food are. “You will need a bowl for food and one for water, and you will need dog food. We have dry and wet food as well as treats.” Remus says showing him the different kinds.
Then Remus shows him the dog beds. “You want to make sure that the bed is big enough for your dog. That way it can spread out however it wants.” Remus shows him the toys by the beds. “Any toys you get tell you the chew level. Meaning how intense chewing it can withstand.”
The last thing Remus shows him is the dog clothes. “We also have clothes like sweaters, shirts, and coats you can get for your pet. Some people like to get sweaters or coats for their dogs for when it is cold out.”
After they are done Remus leads him back to the front. “Is there anything else I can help you with today?” Remus asks.
“No, I think that is everything for now.” The guy says.
Remus smiles as he begins ringing over the guys' stuff. “Ok, if you have any other questions you can stop by and I will be more than happy to help you.” Remus says. Then he tells the guy his total.
The guy pays and then smiles. “Thank you. I will definitely take you up on that.” He sticks his hand out. “It was nice to meet you Remus. I'm Sirius.” He says.

~ Sirius' POV ~
Sirius was so excited to be getting a dog. He has always wanted a dog. Ever since he was a kid, but his parents would never let him. Sirius was on his way to a local pet store to get the supplies he would need. He pulls into the parking lot and goes to the front door. When he reads the door he sees they just opened.
He opens the door and walks inside, but he doesn't see anyone behind the counter. Sirius is standing at the counter waiting when he hears someone yell that they will be right there.
Sirius' eyes widen when the guy walks out. He is a bit shorter than Sirius with light brown shaggy hair, and blue eyes. Sirius can't help, but think how cute he is.
The guy says his name is Remus and asks how he can help. At first Sirius doesn't say anything, because he is too busy admiring how cute the guy is. Remus gives Sirius a look and Sirius realizes that he has been staring. Sirius tells Remus how is going to get a dog and how he needs help figuring out what supplies to get.
Remus asks him what kind of dog he is getting, and Sirius' mind goes blank. He can't remember what kind of dog James told him it was. Sirius fumbles for his phone. He pulls up the picture that James sent him and turns his phone to show Remus telling him how he can't remember what kind of dog it is. Remus says aww and that you don't see many all black german shepherds. Then he asks if Sirius has picked a name yet. Sirius tells him yes, Snuffles. Remus says it is a cute name and tells Sirius to follow him.
Sirius follows Remus as he pushes a cart through the aisles. Remus leads him to a display of collars, and leash. He tells Sirius he will need a collar and leash, and he also tells Sirius that he recommends harnesses for walking a dog, because they are safer. Sirius picks up a black leash, a blue collar with stars and a harness to match. He puts them in the cart.
When Sirius is done there Remus leads him to the next thing. Remus leads him to where the bowls and dog food is. He tells Sirius to have a bowl for food and water, and that there is lots of different dry and wet dog food to pick from as well as treats. Sirius picks up two bowls and puts them in the cart. Then he picks up a bag of dog food, some wet food, and some treats.
Next Remus leads him to where the dog beds are. He says that he would recommend buying a bigger bed that way the dog will fit no matter how it likes to lay. Sirius picks a big dog and adds it to the cart. Then Remus explains about the toys and the different chew levels. Sirius looks at them and picks a few that say for heavy chewers since he doesn't know how strong of a chewer his dog will be.
The last thing Remus shows him is some dog clothes. He explains how people use dog clothes to keep their pets warm. Sirius looks at the clothes and picks a jacket, sweater, and a shirt for. Snuffles and adds them to the cart. Then he follows Remus back to the register to pay for his purchases.
Remus asks if there is anything else he needs help with and Sirius tells him not at the moment. After Sirius pays Remus tells him to stop at any time if he has questions. Sirius thanks him and tells him that he will take him up on the offer. That is when Sirius realizes that he never introduced himself. He sticks his hand out to shake Remus' and tells him that his name is Sirius.

~ Remus' POV ~
It is later that day. Remus is sitting at the counter reading a book since the shop isn't busy right now. The bell above the door rings and Remus looks up. He gets a huge smile on his face and stands up.
“Lily Evans, how have you been?” Remus asks, as he pulls her into a hug.
“I have been good. What about you?” Lily replies.
“I have been good.” Remus says.
“So, I hear you are going away to veterinary school in the fall.” Lily says.
“Yep, I am one step closer to my childhood dream. What about you? I heard you are going for your masters in early childhood education.” Remus says.
“Yeah. I am really excited. So what else is new in your life? Any new relationships?” Lily says.
“No, no new relationships. I have been too busy for one, but a really cute guy did come into the shop today. He was tall with dark hair.” Remus says.
“Ooo, did you guys talk?” Lily asks.
“Yes, but only about what supplies he would need for his dog. So what brings you in here today? Did you come just for a visit, or are you looking for something?” Remus says.
“Both. I wanted to catch up with you, and I was looking for something.” Lily says.
“What were you looking for?” Remus asks.
“A sweater and a toy for a bigger dog.” Lily replies.
“I didn't know you got a dog.” Remus says.
“I didn't. My boyfriend’s best friend did. I wanted to be nice and get him something for it.” Lily says.
“Ok, I will show you some recommendations on toys.” Remus says, leading Lily to the toy display.
As Lily is looking at the display. Remus says, “So when do I get to meet this boyfriend of yours.” Remus says.
“Soon. How about this Friday evening? We always do a movie night and you could join us.” Lily says.
“That sounds good to me, see you then.” Remus says.

~ Sirius' POV ~
Sirius was so excited to be getting his dog today. When he got home from the pet store he set everything up that he had gotten. He puts the bed in the corner of the living room and puts the toys near the bed in a bin. As well as the blankets he got at the store. Then he takes the bowls and puts them in the kitchen.
After Sirius has everything set up he heads out for the animal shelter. He can't wait to bring Snuffle home. Sirius grabs his keys and heads out to the car and drives to the animal shelter. When he gets to the shelter he parks in the parking lot before heading inside. He walks to the front desk and says, “Hi, my name is Sirius Black. I am here to pick up the dog I adopted.”
The receptionist smiles and says, “Of course Mr. Black. You can take a seat right there,” She points to a chair. “and someone will bring your dog out to you.” She says.
Sirius sits down on the chair to wait. It is a couple minutes later when he hears the sound of claws skidding across the floor. The minute the black dog sees Sirius it pulls on the worker to get to him. Sirius kneels on the floor when the dog gets to him and pets his head. “Aww Snuffles. Who is a good boy? You are.” Sirius says. He puts the collar and harness on Snuffles before clipping the leash on him.
After signing the last of the paper work Sirius is allowed to take Snuffles home. Sirius grabs the leash and walks Snuffles out to his truck. He opens the door and helps Snuffles in. Then he drives hom to the apartment. Sirius takes Snuffles inside to start getting him used to his new surroundings.
It is a couple hours later when James gets home from work. Sirius is in the living room with Snuffles playing tug of war with one of his new toys. As soon as Snuffles hear the door open he lets go of the toy and bounds over to the door. He nudges James for attention and stands up against him, licking his face.
“How is it that you managed to get a dog that has the same energy level as you?” James asks.
“Don't blame me. You are the one that found him for me.” Sirius says.
“No, I told you about the shelter and showed you what dogs they have. You are the one that picked him.” James says, scratching Snuffles head. “Did you get everything you need for him?” James asks.
“Yes, I went to a pet store called Full Moon Pets. The worker was really helpful. He helped me find everything I needed, and he was so cute. His name was Remus and he had light brown hair and blue eyes. He told me if I ever needed help to just swing by.” Sirius says.
“Sounds like someone has a crush.” Jame says.
“No, I don't. I just said he was cute.” Sirius says. James gives Sirius a look. “Ok, maybe I have a slight crush on him.” He says.
“Lily told me she invited an old friend of hers to come over this Friday. They were childhood friends, and he is back in town for a couple months.” James says.
“Why did she invite him over?” Sirius asks.
“They were really close growing up and she wants me to meet him, so he is coming over, and I expect you to behave yourself.” James says.
“I will behave myself.” Sirius says, rolling his eyes.

~ Remus' POV ~
It has been a couple days since Remus started working at Full Moon Pets. This morning has been pretty calm. Remus is standing behind the counter reading a book when the bell above the door. He looks up and sees the guy Sirius from the other day. This time he has a dog with him. Remus comes around the counter.
“It is nice to see you again Sirius.” Remus crouches down and pets Snuffles. “And this must be Snuffles.” Remus pets him, scratching behind his ears. “Who is a good boy? You are. Yes you.” He says
Snuffles lets out a bark and licks Remus' face. Sirius pulls back on the leash. “I am so sorry about that.” He says.
Remus laughs and says, “it is ok. It isn't the first time I have been licked by a dog and it won't be the last.” Remus turns to Sirius. “Did you need help with something, or did you come just to show me this cutie?” Remus asks.
Sirius rubs the back of his neck. “I forgot to get dog shampoo and what should I use for fleas and ticks?” He says.
“I can show you where the shampoo is, and as for the fleas and ticks I would recommend getting medicine from your vet. They have pills you give your dog that lasts three months. We sell it here if you need it for the first time until you can get him into the vet.” Remus says, leading Sirius to where the dog shampoo is.
“Thank you. My best friend's girlfriend and her friend are coming over this Friday, and my best friend told me to make sure Snuffles is clean.” Sirius says.
Remus picks up a brush and hands it to Sirius. “You will also want this since Snuffles has longer fur.” He says.
“Thank you.” Sirius says.
They go back to the front and Remus rings up Sirius’ purchases for him. “Have a nice day.” Remus says as he hands Sirius his bag.

~ Sirius' POV ~
It was Friday and Sirius is nervous about this evening. He didn't know anything about the friend that Lily was bringing except that he was studying to be a vet, so at least Sirius knew he liked animals so he wouldn't have to lock Snuffles up.
Sirius is in his bedroom getting ready. James told him he had to dress nice. He pulls his hair up into a messy bun, and applies eyeliner. Then he pulls on a pair of black jeans, and adds a black button up with the sleeves folded up to the elbows to show off his tattoos.
Once Sirius is ready he goes out into the living room to join James. Snuffles runs over to him when he walks into the living room. Sirius pets him before walking over to the couch.
“What time did Lily say she and her friend would be here?” Sirius asks.
“She said they would be here around four.” James says.
It is a little while later when they hear a knock on the door. While James gets up to answer the door Sirius holds on to Snuffles so he doesn't rush the guests. James opens the door and says, “Hi, Lily, and this is your friend. Come in both of you.”
Lily walks in and Sirius' eyes widen when he sees her friend. It's Remus from the pet store. Lily says, “James, Sirius this is my friend Remus. Remus, this is James and Sirius.”
Sirius smiles and says, “Yeah, we already know each other.”
“Yeah, we met a couple days ago.” Remus says.
Lily looks between the two of them..”Wait, Sirius is the tall good looking guy with dark hair that came into the shop the other day.” She says.
“That means Remus is the cute guy from the pet store.” James says.
Remus and Sirius both blush when they hear what the other one said about them. Sirius walks across the living room to Remus. “You really said I was good looking?” He asks.
“Yes.” Remus blushes more. “You said I was cute?” He asks.
Sirius smiles. “Well actually I said you were so cute with light brown hair and blue eyes.” He says.
Remus blushes more. “I think you are so cute too. I also really like your tattoos.” He says.
“Thank you. I would like to get to know you more.” Sirius says.
“I would like that too.” Remus says, smiling.
“Well let's go talk while we wait for the food.” Sirius says, leading Remus over to the couch. Remus and Sirius sit on the couch to talk. “Ok, what is your favorite kind of music?” Sirius asks.
“Definitely 70s rock. Especially Queen and David Bowie.” Remus says.
“No way. That is my favorite kind of music and my favorite musicians too.” Sirius says.
“I actually have a tattoo for David Bowie.” Remus says. He pulls up his sleeve to show Sirius the lighting bolt tattoo on his forearm. Just like the lighting bolt Bowie painted on his face as his Aladdin Sane persona.
“That is so cool.” Sirius says
“Thank you.” Remus says.
They continue talking and find out they have quite a bit in common. Sirius can't stop smiling and neither can Remus.
“I really like you.” Sirius says.
“I really like you too.” Remus replies.

~ Remus’ POV ~
Remus was having a great time getting to know Sirius more. They were sitting on the couch talking when he notices a piece of hair has slipped out of Sirius' bun and is in his face. He tucks it behind his ear. Remus can’t help it. Sirius is so close and he looks so good. Remus leans in and presses his lips to Sirius'. He instantly pulls away and blushes and says, “I am so sorry. I shouldn't have done that.”
Sirius grabs Remus' arm to keep him from bolting. “It is ok. I liked it.” He says.
“Really?” Remus asks.
“Yes, really. I really like you Remus.” Sirius says, kissing Remus.
Remus melts into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Sirius' neck. He feels like fireworks are going off as he kisses Sirius. After a bit Sirius breaks the kiss to take a breath.
“That was amazing. Please tell me you felt the fireworks too.” Remus says.
“Of course I did. It was like an explosion.” Sirius says, giving Remus a light kiss. “Please say you will be my boyfriend.” He says.
“Yes, I’ll be your boyfriend.” Remus says, kissing Sirius again.

~ Sirius’ POV ~
~ 4 Years Later ~
Sirius is on his way to see his boyfriend, the love of his life Remus graduate Veterinary school. He is so proud of Remus. Sirius can hardly believe it has been four years since Remus came into his life. So much has changed since then. Lily and James are married now and expecting their first baby. James is a gym teacher at the local elementary school, and Lily is a kindergarten teacher. He is now the owner of a music store and he even offers music lessons.
Sirius pulls into the parking lot at the college and goes inside to meet up with James and Lily. When he walks inside he sees them immediately. He walks up to them and hugs James and then Lily. “Hey, how are you guys?” Then he puts his hands on Lily's stomach. “And how is my godson?”
“We are good.” James says.
“Your godson is doing good too. I think he is going to be a sports fan like his dad with the amount of kicking he does.” Lily says, rubbing her stomach.
The three of them head into the auditorium and take their seats. Sirius picks seats close to the front.
When the ceremony begins Sirius pulls out his video camera to record it. He is so excited to see Remus graduate. When Remus' name is called Sirius, James, and Lily all clap for him.
After the ceremony is over Sirius anxiously waits for Remus. When he sees him he calls him over. As soon as Remus reaches them Sirius pulls him into a kiss and says, “I am so proud of you.”
“Thank you.” Remus says, kissing Sirius back.
They continue kissing until someone clears their throat. “If you two lovebirds are done there are more of us that want to congratulate the graduation boy.” James says.
Sirius lets go of Remus and steps back so James and Lily can both congratulate him. They both tell him how proud of him they are.
Later on that evening Sirius and Remus are sitting on the couch cuddling. Snuffles is laying beside them with his head in Remus' lap.
“When we first met four years ago did you think things would end up like this?” Sirius asks.
“No I didn't, but I am really glad they did.” Remus says.
“Me too. I love you.” Sirius says.
“I love you too.” Remus says. He gives Sirius a light kiss before laying his head against Sirius’ shoulder. The two of them just sit there enjoying each other's company.
