jim, spock, and bones were all in the same bed together. jim had asked them if they wanted to have a sleepover in his quarters, and because they refused, he made it an order. jim was in the middle, spock at the left, and bones on the right. spock had brought a blanket because he felt more comfortable with one and he felt jim's room was a bit too cold.
it was already pretty late and they should have already been asleep, but jim couldn't sleep because he had company. bones kept moving around, trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in. he saw spock's blanket and tugged on it, putting it on himself.
spock sat up, looking at bones. bones looked away but continued to tug on the blanket, eventually taking it from spock. jim watched all this happen in front of him. he was in the middle of it. he turned to spock, who was staring at bones, and opened his arms.
spock wrapped him arms around jim, the both of them now cuddling. this helped spock warm up without the blanket. jim nuzzled his head into spocks neck. spock slowly rubbed jims back.
bones, who was looking away from them, didn't feel spock trying to take his blanket back and got curious. he turned back around and saw jim and spock hugging eachother.
he watched for a little while before throwing the blanket on spock's face. he didn't want it anymore. spock had to let go of jim to move the blanket out of the way. jim turned to look at bones.
bones had his arms crossed on top of his chest. jim sat up and so did bones. jim asked if bones wanted to be in the middle. bones didn't directly answer, but jim got up anyway.
bones scooted to the middle and laid down. he stared straight up at the ceiling to avoid looking at spock. jim laid on the right where bones was.
jim wanted them to cuddle together. he wrapped his arms around bones and told spock to wrap his around bones as well. spock did it without question.
bones, though a bit flustered, did feel more comfortable. jim yawned. they all felt comfortable now. they all closed their eyes and fell asleep.
