Summary:

blitzo gets a migraine after coming back from a job.
prompts: flare-up and non-romantic relationship

Work Text:

Blitzo normally didn't rest, not for long or willingly.

But right now he was asleep on the couch in the break room. He hadn't been making very much sense after coming back from their second job of the day before he laid down, having mumbled something about being in pain and exhausted before he collapsed on the couch.

He'd been fast asleep in minutes, and Millie wasn't about to wake him, especially not when it seemed like he really needed it. Loona had said he'd been off yesterday, too, but not quite like this.

Millie had thrown a blanket over him, dimmed the lights, and let him sleep. While he usually slept pretty light, today seemed to be an exception, as he snores away no matter how much noise Millie or Moxxie make.

Millie is in the same room cleaning her weapons while Moxxie's doing paperwork. Loona's out busy doing something, though Millie isn't really sure what.

Normally, they'd be getting ready for another job, or waiting for their next client. But Millie wasn't about to wake Blitzo up, and with the way he was acting earlier, he probably wouldn't have been able to function enough to bring him along safely.

It's another hour before Blitzo wakes up again. He sits up and looks around, his eyes dazed.

"Sir? Are you…okay?" Moxxie asks, noticing how confused and disoriented Blitzo seems.

Blitzo doesn't answer, instead lays back down and buries his face into the couch cushion. Millie and Moxxie share a look, knowing something is wrong.

Millie is pretty sure that it's a migraine. Her Mama gets them all the time, and even though Blitzo has never explicitly said anything about getting migraines, she recognizes the signs.

She walks over to the couch, and sits where Blitzo isn't laying. "B?"

Blitzo lets out a groan into the couch cushion. "I don't wanna be a functioning member of society today."

Ignoring the urge to point out the fact that Blitzo is rarely a functioning member of society, Millie gently rubs his back. "Don't worry, B. No one's asking you to be." She says gently.

Once Blitzo confirms it is in fact, a migraine, or his brain trying to escape through his skull (in Blitzo's words), Moxxie searches for anything they have that could help.

They don't really tend to keep the I.M.P office stocked with much stuff, not for situations like this. Moxxie manages to find ibuprofen and a ice pack. It will likely barely even take the edge off, but it's all they have right now.

Once they hassle Blitzo into taking the medicine, it isn't long before Blitzo falls back asleep.

This time, Millie and Moxxie turn off the light entirely, going into another room to let him hopefully sleep it off.
