Work Text:

“This is stupid,” Blaise groaned, throwing his head back onto his pillow. That only proceeded to make his head ring in pain even more. “So stupid.”

“I know, Precious,” Theo sighed, running his hand over Blaise’s cropped hair. It didn’t make him feel any better. “You keep saying that.”

“This is not precious,” Blaise complained, then proceeded to nearly cough up a lung. “What is the point of magic if you can’t use it for anything useful?”

“I know, Crockpot,” Theo told him again. Blaise had also been saying that a lot as well, he knew that, but that didn’t make it any less true. All Madam Pomphrey had been able to do was give him some pepper up and send him on his way with an instruction to get a lot of rest.

So a sick day in bed for him. Hooray.

At least he had Theo there to spend it with him.

“Crockpot?” Theo was just making up words now he was pretty sure.

“I don’t know.” Theo shrugged. “It’s a muggle thing. Like ‘hot stuff.’”

“And where, Thermostat, did you hear of a Crockpot?”

“Same place you heard of a thermostat: muggles’ studies.”

Blaise shook his head; he would have been there. He and Theo had a thing going, a sort of competition on who could come up with the most absurd muggle words to call each other. And Blaise was winning.

Personally he liked Thermostat best, though, because it sounded most like Theo’s name, but he liked all of them if he was being honest. Draco thought that it was tacky, but you know what Blaise thought was tacky? Draco’s obsession with Potter. So there.

“Hmm, nope. I would have been there. I take notes.”

“You were sick, Blender, remember?”

Right, how could Blaise have forgotten?

Notes:

Tomorrow:
"You remembered?" "Restraint of Captivity"
Now that sounds very Bucky coded if I'm being honest, but I'm not sure if I'll do the whump prompt or not. Who knows, maybe I'll do something completely different.
