Things aren't looking good for Cheng Xiaoshi, his heat cycle hasn't come at all this month so he is starting to fear the worse. Sure there were a few times he had scares before but something about this one feels different and his only goal now is to buy a pregnancy test.
"Hey Lu Guang! I'm going to head to the store get a few things for supper!"
Lu Guang put down the book he was reading on the table and sat up from the couch. "Ok I'll come with you."
"No!" Cheng shouted and freak Lu Guang out for minute until he backed tracked "I mean I just want to be by myself for a bit, how about u set the table and stuff when I'm out.. Ok thanks, cya!" Before Lu could even speak Cheng rushes out the front door, leaving Lu with a frown expression.
"What he hiding?"
At the store Cheng was grabbing a few things he needed for dinner and couple of other important materials around the shop. As he was walking down the aisles he stop by one of them, it was the pharmacy section one. Walking down it he came across what he was really looking for a pregnancy test for Omegas, he took a couple glances from side to side make sure people weren't watching him as he grabbed the item and put it in the basket he was holding.
Cheng then checks out and went back home while making sure the pregnancy test was hidden so Lu Guang doesn't find out. "I'm back!" Cheng swing open the door and saw Lu Guang holding a few books in his hands. "Welcome back, I just finished setting the table and Qiao Ling might be joining us later." Lu Guang says as he was putting books away into the bookshelf.
"Well I'll just put these groceries away and start cooking!" Cheng says anxiously as he hurries into the kitchen, which Lu Guang caught on. Lu followed Cheng into the kitchen behind him and grabbed him by the shoulder " Wait Cheng Xiaoshi, are you alright?"
Cheng put down the bag on the counter and tries not to make eye contact to Lu Guang. "What do you mean? Of course i'm alright, what made you think that?" Lu Guang came closer to Cheng Xiaoshi and laid his head on his shoulder. "Your scent.. you sure you're all right?"
Cheng quickly back up from Lu Guang and end up knocking the bag over on the counter as everything fell onto the floor. Cheng freaking out as he is quickly went to the floor trying to pick everything up as Lu Guang followed him and tried to help. When Cheng was putting the food back in the bag he almost completely forgot that he hid the test in the bag but he was to look he looked up at Lu Guang and saw him holding the box in his hand.
"Cheng Xiaoshi, are you preg-" Lu Guang was cut off when Cheng swipe the box from his hand and looking away from him. "I.. i don't know." Cheng said as he grips the box tightly with teary eyes. "Lu Guang I don't know what to do.." Cheng sat on the kitchen chair and proceed cover his face with his eyes. Lu Guang puts his arms around Cheng Xiaoshi and gently hugs him and reassures him. "It's ok, how about I make the dinner and after that we can find out together, then we see what we go from there." Lu Guang said as he was wiping Cheng Xiaoshi tears with his sleeves.
Cheng nodded and agreed to let Lu Guang take control of the cooking, then all of the sudden the bell to the door started to ring. "Hey Lu Guang, Cheng Xiaoshi I'm here!" It was Qiao Ling, Lu Guang grabbed the box and put it in the bag before Qiao Ling made her way into the kitchen. Cheng was sitting in the chair as Lu was putting groceries away holding the bag "Welcome back land lady! you come to steal our food." Qiao Ling started pinching Cheng Xiaoshi cheek "What do you mean steal this is like a form of payment."
"You two can talk, ill just be making the dinner. " Lu Guang said as he finish putting the things away and bring the bag into a different room. "Lu Guang let me help!" Lu allowed Qiao Ling help. "I'm just going to be upstairs for a bit call me when its ready." Cheng makes his way upstairs as Lu watches him go up before Qiao Ling brings him into a conversation.
After supper Qiao Ling told them the next client they are going to do tomorrow. "well that's all, I'll see you guys tomorrow so bye Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi." Qiao waves as she closes the door behind her. Lu and Cheng stopped waving as Qiao was out of sight. Cheng was still at a daze of what to do or what the out come would be.
Lu Guang grabbed Cheng by the hand "Well lets find out" Cheng and Lu went to the bathroom it was quiet and awkward for Cheng Xiaoshi. He watches Lu Guang opening the pregnancy test box. "You sure, you know what you're doing?" Cheng was annoyed with his question as he grabs the pregnancy test from his hand "Yes, I did this before I know how it wor-" Cheng stopped and saw Lu expression "You took the before why didn't you tel-" Cheng pushed Lu out the door and locked it behind him, Cheng sighs as he looks at the pregnancy test.
Meanwhile Lu was waiting on other side of the door and sitting on the couch tapping his foot waiting for Cheng Xiaoshi to come out of the bathroom. Lu heard the toilet flushed and door slowly opened, Cheng was holding the test in his hand and placed it on top of toilet paper. "We have to wait a bit." Lu guang patted on an empty spot on the couch giving him a signal to sit next to him to which Cheng Xiaoshi did.
Lu Guang put his right arm around him and tilt his head onto his. "So this isn't your first time taking a test. can you please tell me why you were hiding it?" Cheng begins to tear up and didn't have words to speak properly, Lu guang slowly rubbing his back. Cheng begins to compose himself for a bit "I was scared of what you think. Like I want to have kids with you but I don't know if you wanted the same thing." Cheng begins to start sobbing again "Cheng Xiaoshi.."
"Even if I am pregnant, I'm terrified that you'll tell me to get rid of it or leave me." Cheng had his hands to his face trying to stop his tears from falling. Lu got off the couch and chose to sit in front of Cheng to see face to face. "Cheng, I would never leave you. It is your choice if you want to have the baby or not. Even if you are pregnant Ill still be here for you and hey I really don't mind having a little you roaming around." Lu trying to cheer up Cheng as Cheng started to smile and kissed Lu Guang "Thank you Lu" Cheng wrapping his arms around Lu Guang.
"I think its time. You ready to check?" Lu said as he was eyeing at the pregnancy test on the table. Cheng was still nervous but took a deep breath and flipped the test over, it was two pink lines. Cheng with tears still in his eyes looked up at Lu Guang "I'm pregnant."
Cheng saw tears coming from Lu Guang eyes as Lu Guang hugs him tight in his arms. "I love you Cheng Xiaoshi."
Cheng closed his eyes and smiled "I love you too Lu Guang."
"We are having a baby."
