Chapter 1: "Wolf Like Me"

Chapter Text

It's been days since Peter Parker recovered from a fatal shot to his back.

(Well, Frank...you just had to ruin the moment, did you?)

Luckily, Jean Grey's "voodoo sh!t" saved him in the nick of time, temporarily possessing his body to keep him away from death's door.
Daylight, sun's up and the streets are flowing with traffic and people, Peter Parker is on the phone, currently talking to DeWolff.

"Yeah, yeah. I'll get there right away."

"Look, you need some rest. That shot could've killed you."

"I've been through worse. Anyways, bank robbers still in large, right?"

"Yeah, but we've got a lead on them anyway."

"Alright, thanks DeWolff. Tell EJ and Marley I said hi."

"Alright. Spider-Man."

Minutes later.....
Peter and Ned are on the table having a slight conversation.

"So, you don't remember at all?"

"I mean, no, nothing at all. I just figured it out really. What's really crazy is that you're--"

"Shh-shh! Not here. There's people around y'know."

"Oh, yeah! We could hang out at my place, though."

The phone beeps.
DeWolff's profile pops out, she's discovered the whereabouts of the bank robbers.
Planning another heist.

"Yeah about that, we'll meet up later. I've got some very important stuff goin on. Small potatoes kind of thing, y'know?"

"Yeah, sure!"

The two then put up one more handshake and then Peter runs off the flower shop, backpack behind him, and EV on the Earphone.

"Hey, EV? Can you scan any banks nearby? I think we've got ourselves a hunt here."

"Peter. You know your in no condition-"

"Ignore that, we've got work to do."

"Alright. Suspicious activity found sixteen blocks ahead of you, suit up."

Peter crawls on a wall in a secluded alley, puts his mask on and suit, with the sun being up and the air so fresh. He sprints without a doubt, taking a leap and a swing right away with the backpack still on him.

Radio Announcers:
"Wakey-wakey, New York City! What is up! I'm your host of today and once again, Spider-Man is back in action!

From what seemed to be a day of possible loss, turned into a day of hope and almost as brand new from what I can tell.

"Isn't it crazy, that a telepath, just went atomic levels of radius on some part of the city and forced like thousands or maybe even less to freeze. I mean, I was there! Like what the hell, I can feel everything!"

"You're overreacting, dude. You know that?"

"Yeah like you weren't there, Darren."

"Spider-Man is back in action, and criminals beware, it won't be a good time for you!"

Spider-Man drops by his apartment and flings the bag through an open window as he keeps swinging mid-air, his eyes and senses continue to be heightened as he adapts with his organic web and the difficulty of swinging with it.

"Come on, Spider-Man. You can do this! Just like riding a bike or your first swing. It was easy, just easy-WOAH!"

Then he slams into a billboard, his body on the ground.

"OW!"

Some guy on the window looks at him,
"Yo, Spidey? You alright?"

"Yeah. I expected that."

Actually, he did not.

Peter gets up and shrugs his shoulders, stretching his body and getting a bit of more focus before he starts moving.

The bystander on the window gives him a thumbs up.

"Alright, Peter. You can do this, you can do this, you can do this. Just like riding a bike... Oh, how did Peter 2 even do it?"

Peter, determined and focused, sprints and leaps off the apartment roof with arms wide and eyes on the ledges and steel poles in front of him.

*THWIP*

He shoots a straight line of his web, latching on the crane twenty paces ahead of him and pushes forth, his speed and agility, supporting his balance with precision.
HE swings again and once again faces another billboard.

"NOPE!"

He takes a left turn, evading a repeat of his "accident" on the last building he dropped on.

Peter continued to swing, (think of Andrew Garfield's way of swinging here)
his adrenaline pushing him, his focus on the move and the love that he has for this city and its people.

Their hero, back in action as he lets out a yell of triumph.

Spider-Man returns.

"Wooooo-HOOOO!"

Spider-Man passes by the streets of Manhattan, the bystanders and pedestrians see the masked webslinger having the time of his life followed by others cheering for him.

"yo, is that? It's Spider-Man! He's back! He's back!"

"Spider-Man! Spider-Man!"

"Hello pedestrians! Hey, EV? Can you turn on some music please?"

*Wolf Like Me plays in the background*

Spider-Man, eyes on an armored truck with a group of robbers. They seem to be getting away after what was reported to be the same group of punks that robbed another bank just days ago.

He swings atop the buildings and lands on the armored truck, the robbers didn't mind the thud on roof.

They're counting the money while being chased by the cops.

"Oh yeah, five million is enough to get us outta here! It'll be a whole change of career, boys!"

"Haiti, sounds really nice."

Spider-Man, his head upside down and just sitting on the edge of the truck, greets them.

"Haiti, doesn't sound so bad. How bout jail?"

Then the robbers look back, the red and blue spandex caught their attention,

"It's SPIDER-MAN! AUGHh-"

One of the thugs get hit by the web and another three gets thrown out and strung up.

"Bye-bye! Okay...stay there."

The back window of the driver opened, and looked to see what was all the noise,

"Hey, Rufus! What's with all that- SPIDER-MAN!"

The driver gets smacked in the face and loses his focus on driving the truck, causin it to hit cones and tables on the street until it went down.

He heads out of the truck and grabs the driver. Afterwards, had his hand and the other thug stuck on the webs with arriving cops right on schedule.

a group of cops see them tied up on webs along with the rest of the thugs and the driver having a mean expression with his mouth muffled.

"Well...ain't that a b!tch? You boys have been really bad lately."

The cop looks at Spider-Man, just as he swings off and away to meet up with Ned.

"Hey, thanks a lot, Spidey!"

"Anytime, officers!"

Sunset, with the street lights glistening and the traffic being a regular part of life. And as Spider-Man swings by the buildings, life is back as the way it is.

Next stop...Ned's place.
