Blood bag has a mind of his own(3)

Notes:

Work Text:

After leaving the place where they had been negotiating, Lucius's expression changed. Holding Narcissa's hand, he forced a few words out through his teeth. "Let's go, Cissy. We need to get back to Malfoy Castle quickly!"

"lucius?"

Narcissa was a little confused. Hadn't both sides already talked everything through? Was Lucius in a hurry to go back and prepare the wedding?

"I suspect that Potter boy has other plans for little dragon! Earlier I only sensed his veela bloodline. I did not notice he also had a werewolf bloodline. Little dragon is innocent and naive. I suspect Potter did something underhanded when they formed the blood contract."

Lucius thought back to how Draco and Harry had been around each other before. His brows furrowed so tightly they could crush a fly.

How had he not noticed? The two of them were so affectionate right under his nose every day, and he had not noticed Potter's wolfish ambition!

Lucius only hoped he had not found out too late. Although he had little contact with the werewolf race, he had heard of Harry's reputation. And with his veela bloodline, even as a mixed blood, the power in that bloodline was not to be underestimated. He was afraid Harry had used his veela power to change the master and servant blood contract into a partner contract.

Draco was young and inexperienced. He might not have noticed. But as Lucius carefully recalled how the two of them had been together, his heart sank to the bottom of his stomach.

Right now the Potters thought Harry had become Draco's blood thrall, which was why they kept yielding and acting humble. If they learned that Harry was not simply Draco's blood thrall, but might be the one in control, Lucius did not dare imagine what would happen next.

Female veelas and male veelas are different. But because most veelas are female, and because of their own weakness and their nature of depending on their partners, people often overlooked that they were also an extreme race.

Male veelas are completely opposite to female veelas. The only thing they share is that they are loyal only to their partner. They hold absolute dominance, and with their charm, almost no one can resist them. And a union with a veela truly brings many practical benefits, so no one cared about the difference between male and female veelas.

Lucius was bitter and frustrated, but there was nothing he could do. So he could only speed up their return. But when he returned, he heard Draco give him a big surprise.

"Mom! Dad! You're back! I missed you so much!"

As soon as Draco saw Lucius and Narcissa return, he immediately got up from Harry's arms and ran toward them.

"Oh my little dragon, Mother missed you too."

Narcissa, just as she had when Draco was a child, opened her arms and caught Draco as he threw himself at them.

"Ahem! Draco, get out of your mother's arms. I have something to ask you. Come to the study with me."

"What a coincidence, Mom and Dad. I also have something to tell you."

Draco came out of Narcissa's arms, his eyes bright, and said excitedly.

When Lucius heard this, an ominous feeling rose in his heart. Sure enough, he then heard Draco give them a big surprise.

"Mom, Dad, did you know? Harry, my blood thrall, he is also a werewolf! I was wondering why he was so strong. He made me..."

Draco seemed to remember something. His face turned red, and he immediately cut himself off. Then he went back to excitedly sharing his joy with his parents.

But the Malfoys were shrewd. How could they not understand what Draco had left unsaid?

Looking at his son's behavior and the suspicious marks on the parts of his body not covered by clothes, Lucius felt absolutely terrible.

"But Harry said he has completely awakened his veela bloodline. Dad, didn't you say he had veela blood? It turned out to be true!"

Lucius: ...He wished it were not true.

"He also said I am the only partner he has chosen in this life..."

At this, Draco lowered his head a little shyly. But seeing his spring filled eyes and peach blossom face, what could Narcissa not understand?

"Little dragon, you need to think clearly. He is your blood thrall."

Narcissa held back Lucius, who was about to explode. She took Draco's hand and made him look up. Looking into his eyes, she spoke slowly. She stressed the words blood thrall heavily, hoping Draco would understand and not let love cloud his mind.

"Mom, I know that. But we truly love each other. And Harry also said I am his only partner in this life. A veela's nature cannot lie. I already agreed..."

"What?! You agreed?!!"

Before Draco could finish, Lucius cut him off in a loud voice, unable to control himself. His face was twisted with anger. Draco, a little frightened, hid behind Narcissa. He did not understand why his father was so angry.

"Dad, I have already formed a contract with Harry. I was going to tell you when you came back. Now that you are back early, I am telling you early too. I hope I can have your blessing. Harry also said he would go back and tell his family about us."

"Harry, Harry! All you know is to call him Harry. Do you know his surname? Did he not even tell you?"

Lucius was roaring without any regard for appearances. The thing he least wanted to see had still happened. Although vampires and werewolves were sworn enemies, they had maintained peace for nearly a hundred years. He could not let the Potters know the current situation between Draco and Harry. Otherwise, it would not be a marriage alliance between the two families. Instead, Draco would be marrying into Potter Manor, and their originally equal status would change. In recent years, the vampire race had been declining, and he had to consider the whole race.

Originally, he had been very interested in the Parkinson family's daughter. They were a family of seers, and Pansy was the most gifted of the younger generation. A marriage alliance with them would have been ideal.

But Lucius had never expected the problem to come from Draco's blood thrall. He should not have let Draco look for a blood thrall on his own. Now Lucius regretted it deeply, but regret was useless. The matter was settled.

"Uh, this, that, ah..."

Seeing Draco stammer and fail to speak, Lucius sneered. He immediately began calculating in his mind. He had to take the initiative. Since Harry had hidden from Draco that he was a Potter, Lucius would have a good talk with Harry. He knew this young heir was much more steady than his own simple and naive son.

"Fine. Since you are so fond of him, your mother and I do not object. But should he not come and meet me, his father in law?"

"Oh, good. Mom, Dad, I am so glad you agree! I will call Harry over right now! Actually, I was the one who told him not to come. I was afraid you would make things hard for him. After all, he is just a weak human..."

Listening to Draco leave happily, skipping and muttering to himself, Lucius's face darkened another degree. Narcissa, however, was more open minded about their matter and comforted Lucius, telling him to relax.

"Since the Potter boy did not directly reveal his identity to little dragon, that means he still has concerns. We will talk with him later and tell him what his father is planning."

Narcissa watched Draco in the distance throw himself into Harry's arms and act affectionately. She covered the corner of her mouth with a hand in a black lace glove, her eyes smiling as she spoke.

After hearing his wife's words, Lucius also calmed down. After his thoughts turned for a few moments, he showed a smug smile.

"Cissy, shall we go back to the study then?"

"Of course."

Narcissa responded with a smile. Then she took Lucius's arm and returned to the castle with him, leaving word for Draco to bring Harry straight to the study later.

When Harry heard Draco's words, he was also happy on the surface, but inside he began to carefully think over Lucius's words. He did not believe Lucius would agree so easily. Judging by their reaction, they must already know his identity. That made it even less likely they would accept him so calmly. There had to be something he had not thought of.

Harry's thoughts turned over and over, but in front of Draco he put all of them away. He only held him tightly and stroked his hair again and again, from the top of his head to the ends.

Under Lucius's influence, Draco also kept his hair long enough to reach his waist. His platinum blond hair was very well cared for and shone brightly in the sun.

He lifted a strand of hair and held it under his nose, breathing it in. A faint rose scent slowly spread.

Draco loved roses, especially red roses. All his belongings were related to roses, including the lotion he used to wash his hair.

Harry looked down at the person acting spoiled in his arms and felt that this was a platinum rose that needed careful tending. He would use his own blood to nourish this rose with all his heart.

When they reached the study, Lucius sent Draco out. Although Draco was unhappy, he had to obey his father and leave. He keenly sensed that something was unusual, perhaps related to Harry's identity.

He was not a young master who understood nothing. He had his own considerations. But he also truly liked Harry, so he was willing to wait for Harry to tell him his identity himself. As for whether his parents would stand in their way, Draco had never thought his parents would stop them.

This was Draco's courage, and it was also the confidence Lucius and Narcissa had given him. Because he knew that no matter what, they would be behind him. The Malfoy name was his pride and also where his confidence came from.

Now he only needed to wait quietly for the result of his parents' discussion with Harry.

In the study, Lucius sat in the main seat. Narcissa stood at his side. Harry stood opposite him.

"Lord Malfoy, Lady Malfoy, I am very sorry we are meeting this way."

Harry was the first to break the silence. He lowered his stance first as a gesture of goodwill. After all, he had taken advantage of the situation. Leaving aside that Draco had brought him back to the castle as a blood thrall, the fact that he had hidden his identity as the Potter heir alone was enough for Lucius to use against him.

"Hmph!"

Lucius gave a cold snort and turned his face away in disdain. Narcissa, however, was still willing to smile at him.

"Harry, is it? Draco told us about you two. When it comes to young people's matters, we parents only hope our child will have a good home."

"Of course, madam. I will explain my relationship with Draco to my father and mother. I will visit Malfoy Castle soon."

"Oh? Is that so?"

Narcissa still looked at Harry with a smiling face. For some reason, Harry felt a chill in his heart, but he still braced himself and gave her a definite answer. He knew Narcissa was asking for his stance. Only by showing a firm choice for Draco could he make them feel at ease handing Draco to him.

"Do not be nervous, child. As it happens, not long ago we ran into Lord Potter and his wife in Germany. We had a very pleasant conversation. Lucius and your father hit it off at once, so the two families decided on a racial marriage alliance. Now it seems our decision really was a happy event."

Narcissa looked at Harry with a smile that did not reach her eyes as she spoke. Harry was instantly shocked and widened his eyes, his face full of confusion. But considering the current situation, he had to suppress his doubts and follow Narcissa's words.

"Then I thank Lord and Lady Malfoy for your kindness. I will go back and discuss my marriage to Draco with my father. I will take my leave first."

"Go. Tell Draco, so he does not worry about you."

Narcissa agreed with a smile at the corner of her mouth. This time, her smile reached her eyes. But Harry no longer had the heart to look. After leaving the study, he headed straight for the living room. He knew Draco was waiting for him there. He needed to think about how to tell Draco.

A few days later, even though the heads of both families were reluctant, Harry and Draco still held the marriage alliance ceremony as they wished, and then held the wedding.
