Work Text:
The Doctor leaned against the console, his face working in seven directions at once as he tried to avoid Rose’s eyes. Rose lounged on the jump seat and sucked one of the multicoloured sweets they had bought for Mickey, occasionally checking the colour as it changed from red to orange.
“Rose,” he said, drawing out her name. “About those sweets…that we bought… in the joke shop...”
Her eyes narrowed as he trailed off; lollipop resting against her lips, enjoyment wavering.
“Yes?”
“The whole traffic light gimmick… it’s not… it’s not just the sweet that changes colour. It’s your nose.”
