A knock outside the door threw Donavans focus out. He took a breath to remain composed and not annoyed at the sudden noise. "What." He spat. The door creaked open, revealing the victim he had kidnapped not even a couple weeks ago, Silver. Silver stood in the doorway, a bit of a puzzled expression on his face. His eyes roaming around the cool toned office created by the night.
"You wanted to talk to me no?" Silver asked casually. Donavan had completely forgotten about that, too deep in his paperwork to remember. He gazed at the Silver for a little too long. Donavan took notice of Silvers clothing, simple button down and slacks, his button down and slacks, very old probably found in the back of some closet. A snap let him out of his thoughts, "Hellooo Mr mafia man, you awake?" Donavan gave pushed away the hand.
"Yes. Apologies." He said. Silver was next to his chair, a hand resting on the arm rest of the chair. Donavan scanned Silver for anything suspicious, nothing seemed out of the ordinary, (expect for the fact that Silver was the guy he was meant to kill NOT BECOME OBSESSED WITH.) Donavan let his pen out his grasp and reached for Silvers wrist, Donavan waited for Silver to flinch back and call him a name. Yet he didn't, he began to rub Silvers wrist with his thumb, Donavan gazed up at Silvers surprisingly calm face, "Your wearing my clothes.." Donavan commented.
"Oh shit really?" Silver thought he'd done something wrong, "I can change back into my clothes." Silver suggested.
"No.. it's fine" Donavan said, trying to seem nonchalant (and failing miserably), "Back on track, I uh" Donavans other hand gripped the table. Donavan was a bit distracted (By silver) , Donavan let out a breath and try to gain as much composure as he could, "I want to let you go." Donavan said, trying his best to avoid Silvers gaze. A bitter silence crept in.
"Really?" Silver said, disappointed. A frown across his face. Donavan expected happiness, a wanting for freedom. Anything but negativity.
"Why are you disappointed.. shouldn't you be happy for your freedom?" Donavan asked, making eye contact with Silver, his grip on Silvers wrist loosing.
"I.. I-" Silver stammered out, the full sentence not coming out. The truth was he didn't want to leave. He didn't know why he didn't want too. He just didn't.
"You deserve to be let go. I feel like shit for doing that. A fucking lunatic. What was I thinking?" Donavan let go of silvers wrist, fingers sliding his palm.
"Donavan.." silver began.
"I am a piece of shit, just go. You'll be free in the morning. At this point do what you please." Donavan gripped the table so hard his knuckles seemed to turn white, the hand that once held Silvers wrist, dug into his hair, strands of it loosening or being ripped out. Silver had never seen Donavan distressed, he hated it. Silver stepped closer instead of back.
"Donavan" Silver, reached for Donavans wrist that was ripping out his hair, Donavan flinched.
Silver pulled his hand back immediately, "Don't touch me." Donavan warned, it sounded hoarse as if he was about to cry, "What kind of person becomes obsessed and then kidnaps them!?" He yelled at himself, "God damnit." His voice weak. His hands shaking violently, "God damnit Donavan you've done it again." He laughed at himself. Donavan looked insane, probably was. He began to hyper ventilate, both hands clutching his head, his whole body began to shake. Silver watched this unfold for another minute. He didn't care about the warning. He dove right into Donavan, into an embrace. He didn't know what he was doing. He wrapped his arms around Donavan, practically on his lap( can't believe I'm writing ts). Donavan froze up, the shaking stopped, his breathing slowed slightly. Silver took deep breathes, trying to make Donavans sync with it. Donavan removed the hands from his head and embraced Silver back, 'what am I doing? What am I?' silver repeated in his head. Donavan was tearing up at the sudden affection that he never had with anyone before. For Silver being his "enemy" Silver was showing more affection than others, made Donavan wonder why he stayed even if they were enemies after all (stage one is always denial)Donavan was looking into space, "Why did you stay? You could've just left me to handle this on my own." Donavan asked tiredly. Silver didn't and did have an answer. He didn't respond. Donavan just sat there, his thoughts disappearing from his head, replaced with the idea of comfort. Then he remembered who was comforting him.
"I was supposed to kill you."
"I know"
"I didn't"
"Mhm"
"Now I'm weak. Soft"
"No, you're not"
"Yes I am. Look at me Silver. I'm a mess. I literally broke down in front of my enemy."
"I will clean up that mess.." Silver squeezed him tighter, burying his face into Donavans shoulder.
"You should leave."Donavan said gloomy, his serious personality trying to scratch its way out. Silver didn't move an inch. Donavan was vulnerable. No no he couldn't be. He's supposed to be Terrifying, Haunting, masculine, A heartless killer. Was that him? Or was it the persona that would put on a show?
Silver mumbled, "you don't have to be that persona around me." Donavan thought it was odd that his "enemy" of all people was comforting him, but he wasn't complaining (BE SO FR DONAVAN)
"thanks.. I guess.." Donavan murmured back. A weird silence stretched in Donavans office. Silver leaned back from Donavans shoulders, studying Donavans face as if it were a newly discovered species. Donavan looked to the side, avoiding silvers gaze like the plague. Donavan felt a little more comfortable, he's sadness seemed to disappear with silvers contact(GAY). Donavan calmed down, even when his eyes still slightly swollen, and his throat feeling like someone clawed it down. Silver trying to distract the fact that he just realized he was on Donavans lap. (Donavan somehow didn't notice)
"Huh.." Silver huffed amusingly. Turning a shade of red.
"What?"
"You're way prettier up close."
"Don't say that"
"Nah seriously, like am I hallucinating?" Silver started sweating like crazy.
"Silver."
"What?"
"Your turning red." (Maybe Donavan did notice, *blink*)
Silver turned an even brighter shade of red. (Tomato)Silver brought his hands to face, trying to hide his burning embarrassment.
"I regret everything." Silver said. (Then get off of Donavan you slut) Yet Silver refused to get off (god damnit). Donavan chuckled, giving a sly smirk.
"You are SO LUCKY THAT I WAS TOO BUSY COMFORTING YOU." Silver hissed. (I have a better idea. Get off of him)
"And you aren't getting off of me. Not that I'm complaining, kind of enjoying this." Donavan said, annoyingly. (Donavan you can't say that)
"DONAVAN RENEE CATTIVO." Silver belted(somehow turning even redder, not even a tomato could describe him), "I'm regretting comforting you. You freak." Donavan smiled innocently, "Do not smile like you didn't just make a weird WEIRD comment." Silver glared at Donavan who was smiling like he didn't just say the horniest thing five seconds ago. Silver slid off Donavan (finally), "You ruined the moment you know." Silver stared him down as he walked to the entrance of the office to leave.
"Well at least I'm not panicking anymore." Donavan said, "I also would like my clothing back."
"Yea. Im glad.. and maybe I'll give them back" silver replied, he opened the door, and turned around, "See you in the morning."
That weird happiness just got sapped out of Donavan, "yea.. see you tomorrow morning." The door closed with a click. Even after feeling like shit for kidnapping Silver like a normal human being, he still was attached.
The end
