I see the sun jump of the horizon
As much as I hate night
I do not mourn its loss
The sun gives me joy
But it hurts more
It burns you and changes you
So why do we praise it
If the sun never came back up
Would we live in total darkness
Would we fall into despair
No
We would build ourselves back up
Because we don't realize
How strong we are until its tested
If the sun didn't rise back into the sky
I wouldn't mourn her loss
I'd comfort the moon
For the time he has lost
The sun was never going to make it out alive
But the moon thought he'd give it a try
You don't realize what you where grateful for
Until it gets taken.
Until YOU break it.
