One knock. Nothing.
Two knocks. Nothing again.
Three, maybe? Elliot heard some shuffling from the other side of Two Times cabin. The door opened, and Two Time smiled up at Elliot.
”My apologies, Elliot, I was in the middle of a prayer.” Two time tilted their head, hands clasped. Right, prayer. That’s what they were always doing, weren’t they?
”No, it’s all okay, I was just worried, that’s all. How have you been holding up?” Elliot held the doorframe, watering down his recent thoughts. In all honesty, Elliot had expected Two Time to be doing.. Horrible. After all, that new killer was definitely tied to them in some way, especially after Elliot saw how Time looked at him.
Azure, was it? The one with the plants.. Two Time wasn’t scared, per se, it just seemed like Time knew who ‘Azure’ was. A lot of survivors with killer ties are.. just a tad unstable. He’s noticed it in how Shedletsky looks as 1x, or how Guest is always more defensive when slasher is killer. And Seven… The poor guy always plays along when C00lkidd is murdering him.
And the way Two Time froze when they saw Azure in a round for the first time..
”I’ve been good, would you like to enter?” Two Time responded, stepping to the side to let Elliot come in, if he wanted to. Two Times cabin.. Does he want to? What if there’s, like, blood sacrifices in there?
”Of course.” His mouth moved before he had time to think. Elliot cautiously stepped inside to the smell of incense and… a neat living area.
However..
There were signs.
The dagger with fresh blood, the spawn symbol carved over the doorframe, and the drawing of the same symbol near the incense burner. Two Time was definitely… devoted to this.
”Sorry, to bring it up, but- That killer last roun-“ Elliot was promptly cut off by a passive-aggressive Two Time
”No need to dwell on past occurrences.” Two Time dodged the topic quickly, walking over to the incense burner.
”Right, I was just wondering if you were alright..” Elliot was trying to speak with caution. No matter how much he tried to deny it, Two Time, and all the other sentinels, could very easily.. Dispose of him. Especially Two Time. He didn’t want to be scared of them, he knew they weren’t evil, but.. Face it, Two Time is pretty scary. And their dagger is only an arms-length away.
”As I said, I am doing good. Would you like to take my hand in prayer?” Two Time asked, holding out a hand with a suspicious wound across their palm. Elliot was about to refuse, but Two Time looked so, so happy, tail swinging and everything. Hesitantly, Elliot took Two Times hand. Maybe it would help him understand them better, even if the whole… Spawnism thing was a load of bullshit.
Two Time got on their knees, and Elliot followed, copying the others movements when he could.
”Forgive me, it has been a long time since I have lead a prayer.” Two Time closed their eyes after the warning, bowing to the.. Drawing.
”Yeah..” Elliot tried to keep the skepticism out of his voice as he peeked at Time.
Two Time took a breath, than spoke.
”Oh Solryn, give me strength. Oh Solryn, lend me your rays of warmth so that your disciples may offer to you another victory.” Two Time spoke like they were reading off of the bible, which, to be fair, these words were probably in a religious book of theirs. Was.. Elliot supposed to add on?
Elliots question was answered when Time nudged him, one eye open.
”Uh- Oh, uhm, Spawn, I- Thank you for.. letting me heal my, er, friends. Yeah.” Elliot tried his best to give thanks to this symbol. This felt so stupid.. It was for Two Time, though. A… A friend.
”Oh, Solryn, let Elliot present you his gratitude for granting him a silver of your miracle healing.” Two Time corrected Elliot with much more refined language. God, how do they come up with this on a whim?
Two Time drew a circle on their forehead with one finger, before getting up. Elliot scrambled to do the same.
”Thank you, Elliot. At times it seems as though you’re the only level headed one around these parts. So many people straying away from the spawns light-“ Two Time rambled on about their religion, unaware of the death-grip hug they were enveloping Elliot in.
The rest of what they were saying was going in ear and out the other, Elliot was fixated on the hug, with a pink tint to his face.
