Work Text:

Jason held the horribly wrapped gift nervously. It felt like he was going to explode if he stood here any longer. “Where the hell is he …” Jason muttered to himself, he checked his nonexistent watch. Roman said he’d be here ten minutes ago. That doesn’t make any sense! Jason felt an incoming headache, great. “Is that for me?” The sudden voice startled Jason.

“Where the fuck did you come from? y’know one day your gonna scare me to death.” Jason sighed, shoving Roman out the way so he could properly sit down. “You avoided the question,” Roman teased. Jason felt his face heat up, he completely forgot the reason he asked Roman to come see him. He has a gift for him that he was entirely too nervous to give to him.

“Ah- yes I have … something for you,” Jason nervously spoke. Jason felt his hands shake, he couldn’t control it. “Are you nervous? Should I be nervous?” Roman smirked, closing the gap between him and the younger man. Jason shrugged, “Only if you want to be.” Roman smiled, taking the gift from Jason. “Oh boy am I excited to see what you got me,” Roman said sarcastically, unwrapping the gift.

“Oh?” Roman sounded, almost surprised. “You are such a doll, and people say you can’t be romantic.” Jason made an unreadable expression, “What!? Who said that” Jason was offended, he too could be romantic! “WAIT, this is not supposed to be romantic! I was just passing by a store and thought you’d like this …” Jason scratched the back of his head, anxiously. “Well, you thought right, I absolutely love it dear.” Roman smiled softly, bringing Jason into a warm hug.

Roman took the watch out of the box and held it up to Jason, “Do you want to put it on me, baby?”

“Of course,” Jason was happy. Roman liked the gift. Roman was always doing something nice for Jason. He wanted to make Roman feel good once in a while that didn’t involve sex. Totally not a romantic thing.

Notes:
