Work Text:
Michael's sitting on the edge of the bed, head in hands, when Trevor sighs, exasperation stretching it out. Then, like he's rattling the bars at a zoo, he says, probably rolling his eyes, the childish fucker, "Lighten up, princess. It's not like it's your wedding night."
Meaning, he shouldn't feel bad about being here.
But now he's an even bigger piece of shit. He wasn't thinking of Mandy.
He'd been playing whack-a-mole with the shame in his bones. Trying to forget the look on Trevor's face when he came. The way his hands shook on the drive here, his foot on the pedal grinding half an hour into dust. All because Trevor called, said he was in the area. Passing through. Said, I miss you.
"Yeah, well, being around you ain't exactly conducive to relaxation, T."
Trevor laughs, low and knowing.
It makes his skin crawl—anticipation filling his chest.
