After she had finished doing some idol work for the day, Kaoru was surely exhausted. She cupped a hand over her mouth, stifling a yawn. She figured she'd just order takeout or buy something from a convenience store, so she wouldn't have to put much effort into a meal. Then, she'd be able to take a shower and head straight to bed.
Much to her surprise, a familiar face greeted Kaoru by her door. Her girlfriend, Rei, was sitting on the floor, mindlessly nibbling on the straw of her empty tomato juice box. She'd tilt her head up, flashing the blonde a fangy grin. "Kao-chan, I missed you~"
Now, Rei had never done this before; waiting for Kaoru by her door while she's out doing work. She would've expected atleast a text asking if the older girl could come to visit. Nonetheless, Rei was a very welcome visitor. "Ah? Why'd you decide to wait for me, Rei-chan?"
"Well~ Kao-chan said I could come visit her any time I want! But I had forgotten you'd be out, so I decided to wait here. I thought you'd be back a bit sooner, though..." She giggled.
"You know, if you had texted me I would've arrived sooner. I could've avoided taking the scenic way back!" Kaoru scolded, leaning down to be eye-level with Rei. Her hand cupped the latter's cheek, and Rei replied by pressing a kiss to her palm.
"I'm aware... I hadn't known whether or not you were working, though." Rei murmured.
"You idiot. Come with me, I'll ask Yuuta to pick up some food for us when he comes back." Kaoru grumbled, grabbing onto Rei's hands and pulling her up. Rei just clung onto her girlfriend and followed her into the dorm as she unlocked it.
Kaoru flopped onto her bed, sighing as she finally let herself rest. The taller woman joined her, laying beside the shorter one. "Mmm, Kao-chan is so warm~ Who needs a blanket when you've got Kao-chan?" Rei smiled into Kaoru's neck, breathing in the scent of her perfume. She smelled like vanilla and sandalwood.
"I doubt I'm really that great at warming people up. My personality is shining, but not blazing~" Kaoru joked, tugging a blanket over the two of them. Texting Yuuta could wait a bit longer... She nuzzled her nose into Rei's hair, enjoying the presence of her partner. Her eyes soon fluttered shut, as she placed a hand on Rei's back to pull her closer.
A few hours had passed, the faint sound of breathing could be heard from Kaoru's bed. The two girls were sound asleep, cuddling under the duvet. Kaoru had forgotten to talk to Yuuta, but that didn't matter at the moment. All she wanted was to sleep beside her idiot girlfriend. Food could wait until morning.
