Domesticity

Summary:

Because Gojo Satoru suggested to Itadori Yuuji that he try to snuggle with one of Fushiguro Megumi's Divine Dogs, Megumi ends up thinking about the domesticity between Yuuji, his dog, and then his own self...

Notes:

Someone posted their original content, specifically, a comic of Yuuji snuggling up to Megumi's white Divine Dog with Megumi being on high alert and his heart being pierced by an arrow of lightning!

Zap! Zap! Zap! Feel the love, Megumi!

And that's how this story came to be!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

"Come on, don't you want to snuggle up with them, huh, Itadori?"

When Gojo Satoru suggested to Itadori Yuuji that he try to snuggle with one of Fushiguro Megumi's pair of twin wolf shikigami, he was all for it. Why? It was quite simple, really; he merely wanted to know if the Divine Dogs' fur was as soft as it looked.

"Sure, Sensei," Yuuji said.

The third student, Nobara Kugisaki, patted the white dog on the head gently as if it were a precious piece of porcelain.

Turns out they truly were quite soft to the touch, so much so that Yuuji could practically drown in their fluffiness. He might as well be! Snuggling them meant he was going to get sleepy if he didn't stop.

As for the Divine Dogs' owner, initially Megumi frowned and groaned at what was going to transpire between his classmate and his dog. Afterwards, once he saw the sight of Yuuji and his dog, inwardly, he felt like his heart had been pierced straight through with a lightning arrow, zapping not only his heart but the rest of his body, along with his mind and soul in the process.

'Damn it, he looks cute like that,' he admitted to himself begrudgingly. Yuuji was especially cute when his eyes were closed, and there was a smile on his face, a serene sort of smile that made it seem as if he were truly at peace. It was the sort of smile reserved for domestic bliss. Not that Megumi would know. His domestic affairs were far from blissful.

Still, the sight of Yuuji in pure, unadulterated sheer bliss for having snuggled up with the white Divine Dog made his heart sigh at the thought of a life in which he was a normal man and his Divine Dogs were just oversized dogs with no powers connected to him or them whatsoever. Yuuji would be at the home where Megumi and the dogs were, constantly snuggling with the dogs, be it on the floor, on the sofa, or even on the bed...

Wait.

Why was he thinking about Yuuji on a bed in his house with his dogs?
