Summary:

Meg McCaffery is taking a Greek Mythology class and one of her tasks for her project about a certain god (Apollo) is to research about the myths. Apollo decides to help her discover the Greek myths and sometimes with other people.

Chapter Text

I was in class when a project was announced. We would pick a Greek god to research about and we would make a presentation of our opinions about them. My first thought was Apollo. Now some might assume I would do Demeter, which makes sense since she's my Godly parent, but I’m not very fond of her.

Apollo, on the other hand, is a god I know very well. We had gone on adventures together while he was mortal and he had even gotten rid of my evil stepfather. Despite all this, I barely knew much about his past. It was an uncomfortable topic and I had never thought reading the myths about him were necessary, but since we had to choose a god, why not choose him and get a good grade while also discovering his past? Two birds with one stone, though I don’t like hitting birds with stones. That’s jerk behavior.

I decided to pick Apollo. I would research about him later.

I got home from school to see Apollo, sitting at the dinner table, writing something down.

“Hey, Meg.” He greeted before continuing to write.

”What are you writing?” I asked

”I have to write down some myths for Calliope.” He grinned

I had a vague remembrance of Calliope. I remembered she was one of Apollo’s Muses. If I’m correct, she’s the goddess of Epic Poetry.

”So about the myths, I have to read myths about you for school.” I told him

”Oh.” He said “Want help?”

”Last time you helped, I got a bad grade because thats not what happened in the myths.” I reminded him. I had a task about a myth and I failed because he told me something else had happened.

”It’s not my fault that the myths are wrong! I was there!” He argued

”Whatever you say,” I responded “Are you gonna help me or what?”

”Sure, what myth do you want to start on?” He asked

”Uh I don’t know?” I responded

”Just spin a wheel.” He suggested

I blew a raspberry at him then motioned for him to make a wheel.

He waved his hand and a wheel with various myths appeared. I spun it and it landed on a myth.

”Looks like we’re reading the myths including Achilles.” I announced
