Vinestaff being one of the people who helped Ghostwalker to contain Venomshank. She’s exhausted with how much energy she had used, she wasn’t really able to go back to see Slingshot or Shuriken for a while, the phone not working isn’t helping her nerves.
With them living in the ring next to the inner ring of Crossroad. She wasn’t able to go back to her apartment, especially with how much damage was done. Although the police force are trying to help all the inphernals who were injured, and needed somewhere to stay for a while. There were shelters being set up for people to go to. Which is where Vine staff went, she went to the one that was closest to their place. She walked in and would seem to recognize some of the other inperhnals from the same apartment she lived in.
Everyone was so distressed and panicked. She walked around looking for Slingshot and Shuriken…Despite herself being quite injured from helping Ghostwalker, but she could care less about it right now. Her worries were clear through her facial expression. It took a while before she spotted the two of them. Slingshot and Shurike, they also looked worried. She quickly ran over, and pulled the both of them into an embrace before they even realized that it was her.
“Oh thank the swords you two are alright!”
She crouched down to their height, holding them tightly.
“Vine!? Oh you’re safe! W-we’re so worried about you!!”
Shuriken returns the hug smiling in relief knowing that she’s alive, and sort of safe now that she’s at the shelter with them. Slingshot didn’t say much. She would just hold onto VIne, hiding her face in Vine’s shoulder..

It had been a few months ever since Venomshank went feral. Things have been improving but still not so well, and that in itself is an understatement.
With how much Crossroad was destroyed, daily life had grown to be so hard. Even with the place being somewhat…fixed. The place was still a wreck though…everything got damaged but the severity is so different. Some have their whole establishment destroyed, while some others just got damaged in a sense that wouldn’t be too hard to fix. And in one of those establishments it includes the Thieves' Rest. It wasn’t too bad to the point the whole place was broken down, but there’s a lot of damage that they all have to deal with.
Soon the apartment building was safe to live in again. Vinestaff was in her own room tending to her plants since some had died, but despite that she was clearly distressed and worried, both to Shuriken and Slingshot, but she was most worried about Slingshot. Ever since the cafe got damaged, she has been getting so exhausted with trying to manage everything, especially on what to do about it. Shuriken is also affected by it, it obviously did with how he seems to not be out of it almost all the time…He looks so guilty, probably about how he can barely help with any of this. But the person who cared most about it was slingshot. So much so that Vinestaff got really worried for her, and decided to check up on her.
She was in her own room…sitting on the chair as she rested her head on the table. Contemplating on what to do, repair is going to be hard, especially with the fact that most working inphernal would be more focused on fixing Crossroad, and even if there’s some that’s willing to offer their service, she was sure it’s going to be expensive. Too expensive for them to afford. They’re barely able to pay for their rent! Sure Banhammer gave some bux to Vine for helping defeat Venomshank sure but it’s still not enough! And the cafe that was their only income being broken and unable to open, isn’t helping! It’s like everything in the inpherno was against them?? What can she do??? And as she was stressing out she’d hear a knock coming from her door.
“Hey, sling? Can I come in for a second?”
It was Vinestaff…usually she would answer, but honestly she didn’t have the energy for it. She was so tired and done with everything, she just wanted to sleep and maybe not wake up… so that she won’t have to stress about everything for once.
She…didn’t hear a word from Slingshot at all. There wasn’t much she could do, she knew that Sling wants to be alone most of the time but with how much she has been overworking herself. Vinestaff would take in a deep breath before exhaling. Then she’d speak up as her eyes narrow a bit.
“I’ll…be in my room if you wanna talk to me…or you can talk to shuri too!.. He’s also worried about you...please come out, and eat something too.”
Vine would hear a really low “okay” from the door. She sounded so drained. She wishes she could somehow help Slingshot feel better. VIne then just turned and walked back to her room.
Things won’t get better…anytime soon.
